Delboy Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 I never mentioned Risks Robert, I said improve security and any new way tae identify each bird and be Certain it Went to the race with the rest must be an improvement.... But yer right, cheaters would find a way tae cheat regardless. But cheatin isn't a concern ave got, ma concern is that for timing in you're gonna get "taxed" for it, or worse yer gonna get disqualified for no doing it. A would be very interested on how we could defend ourselfs in court if somebody took us tae task for being disqualified with an entirely legal time in........instinctively a think we'd lose the case, and lots of £££££ into the bargain.

1967 Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 Theres more chance thats its so they'll make money of a primium phone line all this sheit about security ma *expletive removed* they done fk all about that cheating cnt Gibsin talk about ater the orse has bolted or is it they just dont trust their own people they pick to run the markin stations
Big Davie Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 looking d balds & ian,s proposal whats that all about ?Looks like a variation of the proposal that Dr Lynch has tabled over the last couple of years with regards sections and grid lines
naedoos Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Your right John, if someone challenged this in court I think they would have a strong case, they have a legal and ligitamate system of verifying there time in and also it is within SHU rules, this new rule is outwith the SHU rules which makes it null and void, as we all at the end of the day run under the SHU, so the SNFC could have a headache if challenged on this issue, IMO Think you will find you are incorrect with this statement
bullcock Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 We will see, if it gets passed. Fanciers in allotments with no mobile phones will love this rule.

I agree entirely with the first part of your statement John, cheaters will always cheat. Bottom line is, if the rules are changed at AGM then everyone that sends birds to race have agreed by the SNFC race rules when they sign their entry sheet. It isn't a tax on a few as you put it as I'm sure everyone that sends wants to be on the result, not just a few. I personally don't agree with the proposal but if it is passed at AGM then fingers crossed, for the first time ever I will have to phone in a timer, as that would be the new rule.

Just holdin the cats *expletive removed*. Lets just hope its not a premium line. I would like to see an online alternative but that may be open to abuse(loft number to access snfc site would help)
clockman Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Then you have an hour to get to one can i use yours.

Blue Chequer Pied Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 What about people who work weekends and rely on ets and sometimes are not at their lofts for every race in a season?
blue pied Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 What happened years ago when no one had ETS? Who would time in for you if you were working?
dal2 Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 What happened years ago when no one had ETS? Who would time in for you if you were working? My Dad used to take a day/half day off work for the gold cup when on a Friday or I would skive the school for other races

dal2 Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Luckily for me I never had a problem with work........but running a Yong fitba player around Britain meant I missed loads of races. Fortunately now she is in the premier league the games are on a Sunday so just the odd holdover to fook things up
bullcock Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Then you have an hour to get to oneWho wants to leave their loft after timing in a cracker and you know your preparation was good and your favoured bird is still flying, it would be a total injustice if you had to leave your loft on the most important moment of the year.
