Problems With Ybs

I have had to do away with 6 ybs losted alot of weight and very sick looking wet dropping in loft now dont know wat to do.

it could be ecoli common problems when breeding but it could be anything my advice is to see a vet

Sounds like your feeders are drinking too much water ! If so remove all grit and minerals especially if they contain salt and rear your youngsters with beans and or peas only.

I have been giving the gritand minerals today juat before darking the loft i checked them loads of water than food.

 

no vets here that check out pigeons but i am going to get a swab and droppings test done.

I agree, over drinking and then scooting out the other end, coxy or paramyxovirus .

Thomas without seeing them no one can really say if its pmv more than likely not u really need to get someone to have a look at them its nearly impossible to say what these birds may have from a few posts on a forum when where your old birds vaccinated are there signs of canker id nearly bet there is it may be a case that your old birds may be next to get sick

I payed £600 for 20 of these ybs my first year racing this is my dads account im using i only have 22 ybs no olds birds So to kill them all would lost £600 and no birds for this year or next year dont think pigeon racing is for me.

just my opinion it sounds like paramixo but how did it come to youre loft i would be thinking about the 20 you bought in and make some enquieres remember thats just my thoughts good luck

all you can do is vacinate everything in the loft for parramixo and wait and see what survives thomas
