I have tried early young in the past and found that, when I started training, only a few were still in the loft. I think youngsters on the wing before the hen peregrine and s/h go to nest can be very vulnerable. No more early young for me I am afraid.

I have 54 parted, getting up to the roof and having a flutter about, not always easy getting them out with work but the seem happy enough :) atb folk

1 pair on eggs and ybs were promised to charity sale .. none others paired up

another 7-10 days to wait for me before I pair them up, I prefer no ybs on the loft to late April or early May to many hawks around here in March into April for me

paired the stock today and will pair the race team in a week or so , looking forward to seeing what my new pairings breed in the stock shed

Opened the youngsters door today all shot out up in a batch and flew for around 15-20mins. Feels like it has been a breeze this year. One minute there in the nest next they r in the sky :emoticon-0123-party:

biggest majority of our young birds will be ready to be separated in another week,so a couple of weeks yet before we even try to get them out :animatedpigeons:
