sapper756 Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 It's that time of year again, when we ask folks to pause for a moment and think about those brave men and woman who have paid the ultimate price when serving our country. God Bless Them All! Please post a Poppy as a mark of respect and appreciation!
hawked again Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Sorry, have tried to post poppy picture using an IPad and am unable to. I'll never forget the sacrifice though. God bless them all. Problem sorted by The Fifer, many thanks Archie.
sapper756 Posted November 5, 2014 Author Report Posted November 5, 2014 They joined for many reasons, to march, to sail, to fly, they went where they were posted but nobody joins to die. Their leaders talk on TV what else could we have done? But those leaders lost no daughters and none has lost a son. So heres to all our soldiers wherever they may be.....and heres to all their families, I raise a glass to thee...... Wear your Poppy with Pride.

HOMER49 Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Oh! you who sleep in Flanders Fields, Sleep sweet - to rise anew! We caught the torch you threw And holding high, we keep the Faith With All who died. We cherish, too, the poppy red That grows on fields where valor led; It seems to signal to the skies That blood of heroes never dies, But lends a lustre to the red Of the flower that blooms above the dead In Flanders Fields. And now the Torch and Poppy Red We wear in honor of our dead. Fear not that ye have died for naught; We'll teach the lesson that ye wrought In Flanders Fields. We Will RememberHomer 49
