Walter swanston Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Pigeons Basics has many Scottish members but any mention of the referendum is ruthlessly squashed by the management, maybe they are right.

buster151 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 A yes vote will go some way in showing Westminster how much they are out of touch with the public and fail to do what they are voted in for, maybe I'm wrong buts that's my opinion

Mixxy Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 HiQuite correct the quicker we are in the Euro thebetter no exchange rates fk the poundCheersHomer 49 You have no idea Homer! The only difference will be that instead of being controlled from Westminster it will be Brussels! Do you think that a united Europe was created by the big powers to benefit the small ones? I guarantee this time in 5-10 years, if you do go into Euroland then 99% of those who voted for it will be saying it was a mistake Ask any Irish man (like myself) what they think about the united Europe and see what they have to say!! They hung Ireland out to dry and will take decades to pay off the debts. Portugal was the same, but look what they did for the bigger economies of Greece and spain, bent over backwards, i wonder why! Also the main problem with Euro, as far as the UK & Ireland is concerned, that despite liking it or not one of the biggest trading partners is going be England. It was ok in the days of the 1.50 to the pound, but when sterling crashed, it almost destroyed companies overnight (like mine), because almost all of a sudden our exports were 40% dearer and our sales plummeted some 80%. Independence yes, but you want to keep it that way!
