Hi Walter

Cant understand your thinking 24 birds capable of

flying 360 miles and you put all your eggs in the one

basket, why not split your team

Heard there is one in Airdrie at 4.20 J Barr ???

Cheers

2/22..... timed the hen that was 2nd west sec ypres last year!! Shattereded.. worst race in our 60years history of racing pigeons.. we had these 22 in tip top condition... absolutely sick is an understatement... think people really need to sit down and have a look at race points..and decisions the are making for the future of this sport and welfare of the pigeons!!

Losses have been widespread and have affected most lofts this year and previous, after 2 races on the channel this season the birdage of the NIPA was reduced by 75%. Again yesterday racing from Penzance only one bird made the result into Derry city and that was to a young lad who has only been racing the past few years leaving the seasoned channel & distance men with empty perchs and good birds lost again when they should be home. As Paul says we all need to get our heads together and look at these problems with the losses and possible causes as the sport will be dead before too long. The cost of breeding, training and luckily if they make it to the racing pannier is not cheap but with the losses incurred season after season if it was a business it would have been shut down a long time ago :( :(

totally agree with you paul our race programme should be decided by members who have seen some of the country and just not plucked out of the air because they like the name of the lib point we must have retired long distance drivers who have seen the terrain etc

Agreed frank we know were the most populated areas are and still choose to go through them.. I believe the doos are gettin hit from the word go and numerous times coming up the road... I dont have all the answers only facts.. and im not sayin east routes have no hawks..but dam sight better racing and returns that what we are getting delt down this route.. can I ask what was wrong with Maidstone? ? Nat or no national was always a decent race point

I agree Paul the first step is to move those ybs over to the east. But long term the peregrine will follow the food source.
