anto b Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 i wont be racing either way after the disaster we had last week , giving them a rest see what there like for the following week
doomaloon Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 have thought for a while now that we should give race controllers more authority to basket on a sunday or monday if the weekend is poor.always try to put the doos first,as a plumber who works 9 to 5 this may not suit me on some occasions but i would rather my doos hame on a good forecast than liberated into dodgy weather for the sake of a weekend race omi
anto b Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 ours were libbed last Saturday , weather was terrible I sent 6 got 2 on the day and 1 next morning . the losses most lads have taken there seasons are finished , birds being reported all over Ireland and some in the uk . pigeons hadn't got a hope ....

Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Looks like we could get a race Saturday morning according to xc weatherthat is what I was looking at,was not worried about any rain showers I was more concerned about the wind http://www.xcweather.co.uk/GB/forecast
geordie1234 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Don't envy race controllers one bit especially weekends like this
Dmurray Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 that is what I was looking at,was not worried about any rain showers I was more concerned about the wind http://www.xcweather.co.uk/GB/forecast Yeah the midlands are looking at 20 to 30 mph winds but with uz only at the 100 mile mark it's looking good for a Saturday morning race
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Yeah the midlands are looking at 20 to 30 mph winds but with uz only at the 100 mile mark it's looking good for a Saturday morning racewe are on the coast at Portland 190 miles so going to be watching very carefully
gulkie Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Should Lanarkshire not be thinking of basketing on Saturday for a Sunday race as the Weather looks dreadful ??????

tyson Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 that all depends if you have drivers available some people do have other jobs and not all full time doo men
JohnQuinn Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Should Lanarkshire not be thinking of basketing on Saturday for a Sunday race as the Weather looks dreadful ?????? Can be sure wee Davy will be watching it Very closely Wullie, but too early to make a judgement yet, but unlike some others he has the option for Saturday basketing :-)
