Guest IB Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 If we are going to Buckingham in 4 weeks time how are the SNFC Committee planning on officially confirm this to ALL the members?Their is nothing on the web site and I don't buy the homing world or RP so do I get measurements for Billiracy or Buckingham? P.S. how many members aren't on PB who don't know this is happening? the clock is ticking. And personally we have been flying the first inland race from the middle of the country for years with terrible returns and the members voted to go east, I am personally disappointed we aren't staying on the line agreed, if we are going to this race point Huntingdon would have been a better choice much the same distance. The information will be part of the official SNFC mailshot to all members with the year book etc. - that is going out soon.

gulkie Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 What exactly is the reason given (if any ) for the change if not to suit the committee ???
Guest IB Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 What exactly is the reason given (if any ) for the change if not to suit the committee ??? Reasons given in my previous post: The RPRA gave us an alternative race point - Chelmsford, approx 10m NW of Billericay, 320m ? to Central Belt. Buckingham at 295m was put forward for the reasons that it was the Management Committee proposal at the AGM, and members would have already paid for measurements for it, (and Billericay). Although over 300 miles to the Central Belt, as per AGM wishes, Chelmsford would have required new measurements, at a further cost to the club. A vote was taken and it resulted in 8-7 for Buckingham.
calder boy Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 So will I have to get my distances for Buckingham myself or will the snfc supply them Cheers

coldo1 Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 Is it any wonder why there aren't cues round the block when it comes to electing officials. These are the guys that are elected and use there time to arrange everything and then when a decision has to be made the knives are out, stand by the officials and if you don't like there decisions stand up next year and take on these posts...I'm sure those that are doing the jobs at present will only be too glad to enjoy their spare time to concentrate more on their birds than be belittled by the ungrateful
Guest stb- Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 whats a bigger concern for me is this as already being spoken about on here with committee members unaware before the meeting so are we dealing with stuff going on behind the scenes again a total jokeyes fkn disgrace the mushroom growers at work again keeping all in the dark and feeding plenty sheite

From what I can gather the committee are more volunteers than elected. Can you tell me when there was last a vote because there were too many nominations. On the change of racepoint there was no real decision to make. A vote was taken at the AGM and when the chosen racepoint was not available the nearest suitable racepoint should have been used.
knoxjn Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 well said as far as I can see the committee don't seem to bother about any vote taken the club is not what it used to be far from it
