Lanarkshire May Day Race 5Th May

Personally I wouldn't run any sales or races. I would just bump the membership fee up. Said that at the time of getting new transporter. With the amount of work these fed officials put in trying to keep costs down I guess they will be wondering if it is really worth all the effort.

 

Today's race would have been successful if Saturdays race wasn't so difficult for lots of members.

Spot on Frank, and most of the critics couldn't run a ménage.

here we go again, over 5 hours have passed and ETS are in, yet no one knows the result AND with two bob prize money, and our fed about £170 short not counting ware and tare. this race should have been canceled and re run at the end of MAY and football cards should have been used to generate funds, to cover costs 50p entry NO POOLS, flying for £1,000 prize £500, £200 £100 and it should be arranged at the AGM if the members want it 24 clubs selling one football card at £10 per week, for 24 weeks give you the fed £5,760.00 to have 2 open races at kelso for a £ 2,800 prize fund each of the two race, and as we are not a profit making organization we could have a lot more prize money than we are at the minute

for all races in the FEDERATION. no good having a big bank book when your constitution say different. bigda here for the pilgrim

why was the race point appleby picked then, simple to get the nat doos a cheap toss at our expense. and as they don't like kelso. which is a normal mayday race point as it turned out 260 birds turning up with the race on Saturday not going to plan and the weather still on the cold side, we were not tied to anyone for transport, so it should have been canceled, and kept our powder dry for another day IMO

what odds would you get on you running the fed Danny as nothing according to you is right about it,I am quite sure there would be room at the top table for somebody like yourself that knows better and even better now you are psychic and know what is going to happen before it does,get your name forward at the AGM and show them how to do it without losing any money

 

WHEN I SUGGESTED THE TRANSPORTERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE, THAT THE BUCKLE DOWN ONTO ANY FLATBED TRUCK IT WAS DISCARDED we would only then needed to hire 2 trucks for 24 weeks or less have no insurance to pay or any worry about mots or tyres

and should we brake down a replacement sent out, unbuckle unit and then put on replacement truck 30 minute change over and the 2 uints put in store till when needed

but with others that have there head in the clouds they cant see whats going on around them.

anybody who wanted to go could so it wasn't just kept secret for a few and about a share in it yours should be the big Carmel wafer on the back it would mibby shut you up for a while

never heard of this race been mentioned in the AGM report, haven't heard from my delegate

who has BEEN given permission to use our trucks, will there be a £1 levy Added to the cost of this race, WILL THERE BE OTHER BIRDS SENT BY NONE LANARKSHIRE MEMBERS WILL THEY HAVE TO PAY THIS RACE £1 LEVY THE SAME AS LANARKSHIRE MEMBERS PAY FOR RACES OF THE SAME DISTANCE.
