geordie1234 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 With it being winter I'm only at the lofts before work in the pitch black unless it's weekends so it's a quick feed and water change then out off there. Cannot wait to have them back at my house
Kyleakin Lofts Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Good weather have a look and listen, then open trap; close traps check all settled.Poor weather have a look and listen, then check all before starting to feed etc; check all settled at night.
W.D. Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Listen, thats the first thing I do on my way up to the loft, this was told to me by a good old fancier long gone now bless him.He said you should be able to tell if all is well inside the lofts before you even see the birds, even if it's dark they will hear you coming and some will call inside the loft esp if they are tame.
