philg50 Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 How much should i be expecting to pay for a single sensor pad and ,is unikon and tauris pads interchangeable .I am just back into the doos after about 10years, and am begining to think this companies have got doo men where they want them with their steady income from ets rings, the price of spares ,the cost of new battery when required ,and what for? so as far as i can gather you dont need to be there to clock your doos in if thats not defeating the object of keeping doos what is ,what happened to handling your arrivals as they come one by one and welcoming them home .Well thats me had my rant you can put it down to bad health and age .
billt Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Good post Phil, I haven't raced other than One Lofts for years so I can't help on the ETS question but I think being there to catch and time was a big buzz
dal2 Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Best idea would be to try and aquire a pad second hand. They are not interchangeable sadly. As for the concept............SIMPLY THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD
geordie1234 Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 I love the ETS to be honest but I do agree they have the fanciers by the dogs dagglies
andy Burgess Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 I too enjoyed the excitement of "clocking" them on a race day .have 1 particular family who have always flown well . 1 cock especially could have won 6 races had he not become "trap shy" often arriving 5 or more minutes before others ,and often sat out till another arrived and came in before him . as it was he ended up with only 1 first and a 2nd under his belt .if he was here today , who knows how many red cards he could have taken on E.T.S. . that for me ,would have certainly been a greater " buzz "
greenlands Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Used ETS for the first time this season, brilliant, not a bad trap.
