The 6 Feds Idea On Snfc/snrpc Thread

Tam & Tommy.

Tam and Tommy are neighbouring farmers, in the middle of the harvest Tommy's Combine Harvester broke down and he couldn't finish brining in his crop. Tam had just bought a brand new one and had finished his harvesting in jig time.

Now Tam could see Tommy was having difficulties, however he didn't want to offer his Harvester to Tommy in case he thought he was being a show off and cause offence to his neighbour.

Tommy on the other hand had thought to himself that he might be able to borrow Tam's new harvester to get his crops in and decided he would go and ask for a loan of it.

Off he went walking across the fields to ask Tam, but on the way over he started doubting himself and his neighbour saying "bet this smart Git says no" and hunts me off his ground. He carried on anyway but the thought of rejection was growing in his mind with every step he took until he totally convinced himself that Tam was DEFINITELY gonna say no.

( Of course Tam was just waiting to be asked so he could help his neighbour)

When Tommy got to Tam's door he knocked and Tam opened it, at which point Tommy blurted out "stick yer harvester where the sun don't shine" and promptly set off back across the fields.

My question is this, are you a Tam or a Tommy??

Seems to me there are a lot of Tommy's now commenting on this thread, looking for all possible negative outcomes and difficulties in the implementation of this idea, so i would ask you to have more faith in your neighbours and trust that they will only offer the hand of Friendship because that's the only type of hands i have, and the other officials that i have managed to contact are all of the same mind. So please place your trust in YOUR officilas by giving them the authority to decide things on your behalf, (or to negotiate an outcome as near as possible to the members mandate) with the full knowledge that the other officials they meet with will all offer a hand of friendship and co-operation to them. ATVB, John.

Walter, too many people thinking Amalgamation / Combine instead of thinking joint convoying for the sake of the pigeons and the future.

The more people thinking Amal/Combine the better, and would say the reason being thats exactly what we are thinking, our pigeons and the future, jmo.

Agree that the more people thinking Amal / Combine the better so long as it is for joint convoying only which will benefit both fancier and birds now and in the future, however if you make it competitive and introduce prize money and pools rest assured that it will flounder the first time an area wins more than its share of these, seen it all before but still hope it can become a reality for joint convoying.

We all know that there will be problems ,but they can be sorted out we don't

Need any negative thoughts before it even gets of the ground.

No negative thoughts from me as I really hope the officials of the Feds concerned can make it happen for convoying only initially , then once it's up and running get a feel from the fancy at large on how it could be developed.

joint convoying is a must these days fuel prices alone tell you it makes sense.transporters running two thirds empty costs feds money.historic fall outs between dick and harry should be kept in the past and forgotten about.move forward for the sake of the birds and the sport. I would also like the two nationals as one again.j.m.o

I would hazard a guess that the convoy would not be intact by the time they hit the solway and as we all know only the winners are at the front after a few hundred miles or as Andy quite rightly states the 2%

I for one would just love to have my birds tested against a large convoy with no interest whatsoever racing for anyone's money would be more than happy just being part of it ,Time we all took a good hard look at where the doo game is heading without petty bickering amongst ourselves ,No offence intended towards anyone .jmho

There is a meeting of the Fed Reps sometime in January.

Cant be right Andy, as after Ayrshires AGM last wednesday night we have no officials to attend.

The date was set some time ago, I believe. I knew about it early December.

With regards to Ayrshire Fed, they may not even be racing in 2014, so why should this meeting wait for them? Who would have expected Ayrshire Federation to implode at the time this date was set?

I expect there will be further meetings, so hopefully Ayrshire Fed will be back on track.

Ayrshire as it stands is without a Predident or Vice Presidents, however I am confident others will rise to the occasion.

As far as not racing in 2014 nothing has been decided but rest assured there will be racing into Ayrshire in 2014 in some form or other.

Other feds in this have (and quite rightly ) decided on there programmes for 2014 some going west some going east so any decision of joint convoying this year would certainly be in doubt.

The Feds going east might joint convoy and the Feds going west might joint convoy. I have no idea about where they are all going, but there could be room for negotiations.
