They are dying a death m8 , its a pity because they were usually great nights. Needless to say, jealousy has put a stop to a lot of socialising in the pigeon game.

I was surprised Del , when I moved up there wasn't one planned ? . last club back in Wales we had 2 a year ,presentation night when all trophies and prize money went out .we invited other clubs to come along ,with raffles ,young bird sales ,food & drink was always a good night. also had a mid season do all were invited , food & drink again , with karaoke ,had some cracking singers from other clubs within the fed come along .

I used to organise my own club,s presentation night but felt like I had to beg some members to come so I gave it up and we have,nt had one since. I had the pleasure of presenting two clubs trophies at their presentation night last year the fraserburgh and district ant the Peterhead and district . The fraserburgh and district had only 4 members turn up where as the Peterhead and district had only 2 members that never turned up . Even though it was a privelage to be asked to present both club,s trophies you fairly noticed that its dying out especially in the 2 fraserburgh clubs sad really cause it was a real good night oot

We started a Social section this year to promote the Lerwick race and intend having a presentation night for it. Hopefully it will catch on. We hope to run a moot on the same evening.

Cambusnethan and Morningside still have our presentation night in the Newmains club premises. Always a good night with top guests invited to present the trophies. £6 a ticket and ye canny get a seat in the place if ye don't book early.

Clubs and Feds who don't have a night should IMO be ashamed of themselves. If ye don't attend them how can you possibly be inspired to do better with yer own doos, its beyond my reasoning.

Our club started having presentation night when myself and matt Luke joined about 10 years ago, then wee joe musleh took over running it after matt , does a great job his good lady puts on a buffet , but if it wasn't for non members it would be a washout , prob about half don't bother there *expletive removed* tuning up , I've missed one since it started , when I was I'll. it's held in February in the old kilpatrick bowling club ,right next to erskine bridge . And about £6 per ticket .
