Me, far too many Andy, 6 stock pairs, 50 flying out but not racing and all that just to fly a couple in a one loft, not to mention my old mob of 40 on open loft emoticon-0127-lipssealed.giflaugh.gif

I have around 46 for racing next year, 17 old birds and 29 yearlings, which i'm ok with.

Stock doos are a different matter, i have far too many and will keep around 6 or 8 pairs of the younger ones, the 4/5/6 yr olds i can give to someone starting out or anyone who fancies a go with them.

So what are you going to keep in the other 12 sections of the new Loft, Canaries or what lol

With having a small loft and only racing to the coast I only need 12 pairs and part of my yb loft is sectioned off to keep 3pair of retired birds and a pair of Here/Ceu I got of Willie Davidson(Williedoo)which bred me a decent young hen already. Thanks Willie.

If they are breeding winners you can never have enough stock birds.

Well, far fewer than recent years, and well within my 20 nest box limit.

27 at the mo, i/c 4 stock birds, got lots more hens than cocks, and will breed max 20 YBs next year.
