Birds raced down the west side all year then taken to the east side and still marched home with great returns whilst folk no too far away had a struggle? One fancier sending 4 and having 3 in top 13 open and 4 of section?? No drag , only 150 birds away, biggest team set 15 i think? Yip think it will be secta that will have the most nat winners. No me tho, I canny win yin even on easy street,??LOL

Or do you think they were fired from a rocket and parachuted into Stirling. I would say brilliant doos prepared and motivated by a top fancier who doesn't look for excuses everywhere except the mirror when he gets beaten
alec guinness Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 Correct mate I was down at billy's the other week training doo's what a cracking place to sit and watch the doos come home and he makes a gd breky tae and coffee Great guy billy and what a start to his flying career in Ayton in only 3 nationals he has sent 85 birds winning 41 diplomas, some start and stats mr Billsland. :partick-thistle-Crest:
Guest bigda Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 which way do you think Tommy Blairs doos came on Tuesday? Or do you think they were fired from a rocket and parachuted into Stirling. I would say brilliant doos prepared and motivated by a top fancier who doesn't look for excuses everywhere except the mirror when he gets beaten so you agree that every doo came up the east coast when Lindsay and Henderson's do flying into the wind, when both birds hit eyemouth it is then 69 mile to newmainyet it is only 73 mile to Stirling from the east side so what is the difference in flyingand race measurements now and doos flying with the wind and doos flying against the wind you tell me who it favors from eyemouth that all doos passed so we have now got a situation a diferance of 4mile yet how far has lanarkshire to give this bird when he hits his own loft DRY YER EYES JADETHERE IS A DIFFERANCE OF 21MILE TO STIRLING once lindsay times in where did it turn from 4 mile to 21mile
JADE Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 so you agree that every doo came up the east coast when Lindsay and Henderson's do fyling into the wind, when both birds hit eyemouth it is then 69 mile to newmainyet it is only 73 mile to Stirling from the east side so what is the difference in flyingand race measurements now and doos flying with the wind and doos flying against the wind you tell me who it favors from eyemouth that all doos passed so we have now got a situation a diferance of 4mile yet how far has lanarkshire to give this bird when he hits his own loft DRY YER EYES JADE if you think every doo in the race went over Eyemouth you are dafter than I thought (and that's sayin something. I would think Lindsay & Hendersons bird could have been with the birds in the Solway about 1.30. An hour and forty minutes seems about right. Unless it went to Tommy Blairs then flew back to Wishaw
Guest bigda Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 if you think every doo in the race went over Eyemouth you are dafter than I thought (and that's saying something. Unless it went to Tommy Blairs then flew back to Wishaw are you sacred of the measure i mentioned or what, why where there so many birds in the fife area then, did they come from the sloway did billy bilslands come from the solway you have no idea what the birds have to do in the west.
Guest bigda Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 the big difference is a predominant west wind puts us in the eyemouth area, and then into a west wind for home, and that can take your bird down to 30mile per hourputting on an extra 1 hour to your race and once you get home you have to then give away your overfly just to keep you in the loop jade it is only 52 mile to Dundee from eyemouth how much over fly have the lanarkshire to give to places like that
