With marking tomorrow night how many are fellow members sending and do you really fancy one if so why ?

I have 2 going blue yearling that has been set up for the job in hand first time I have entered a yearling in the gold cup race since I started in 1972 think that says how highly I rate the wee doo

Also 3yo red hen that I am positive will make the clock contains the blood of a certain red rocket whom a gentleman on this forum will have fond memories of,Good luck to all (ps)hope I don't come over as to confident but after 40years in the doo game I know when they are right .

I can still remember clearly Mick of Red Rocket finishing from Rennes and Sartilly, he was well named as i could see him coming from the south for the last 300 yards and boy did he finish in style.

All the best with both your doos.

i am sending 1 my 1st time at this distance. he is a 4 year old well not 4 yet as he was hatched after the nationals in 09 he flew ypres before he was a year old in race time but did not clock him long story he was 8th ypres the next again visit and recovered very quick like he had not been at a race .went to newbury clocked just before 4 pm 9 hours on wing that got the weight of him. he is going to this race the same as his 2nd ypres laying in nest bowl shaking and bawling on his hen so hope he goes well. would have been going sitting 10 day eggs but i swapped them and pair abandoned the eggs .

Good luck everybody

Interesting to hear you say about the yearling Mick. Was talking to a top experienced dooman at the marking who was saying the same thing. Would be great if it comes off :emoticon-0157-sun:

Sent 11 to the race, I like them aw or I'd have been daft to send them but the main fancy is the chequer hen that was 161st Open Clermont 2011 and 19th open Alencon 2012.

It will either end in sheer joy or complete despair :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Lets hope for a good race.
