not really andy its just that you dont want to be jagging yb when ob are still racing so depens if your going to all the national races if you are dont let the yb out for a week or two after vaccinating them so there not near the old birds and change your shoes between lofts or the wee plastic pull overs so you dont carry it on you

Great thread Walter, lot of answers in ur post, lik stb i used to jag everything end of o/b season, but since most feds hav 1 2 weeks between o/b y/b seasons this would mean that y/bs just been jagged would be sh**,n androviris or pmv all over transporter, witch would exsplain lot,

 

 

 

they would not be shitting adroviros or pmy all over the transporter if they were jagged then kept in till it runs it,s course

del thats what i used to think m8 when i saw your post ive just phoned the people that make the vaccine and made out my vet told me its ok to use and put back in the fridge he said the vet was talking rubbish when opened it must be used in hours and the rest disgarded that was from the lab at meditech i have the phone no here for anyone that needs proof so what chance do we have if the vets dont know m8

if you are talking about when i gave it to the ybs the 1st year i noticed there was a problem it was because nifurmycin had not been invented all you had was oramycin or teramycin and both are good broad spectrum antibiotics when you dont know what your dealing with novo

anthony thankyou if the new starts do it right and know the pit falls maybe we can get the old heads to follow suit m8 this is the way we were told to do it when para myxo first came out every one took there birds to the club house or your club officials came to your loft and everyones birds were done within a week or two and there was no such thing as ybs that only came because we got lazy and started jagging to suit the fancier and not respecting the rules of what we were dealing with m8 ybs is a man made problem i know men that jagged there yb on friday aft noon and put them in the race basket that night
