aye ready Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 Has the shu passed this as a rule ? I know the RPRA were looking into using this .don't think so stuart but they are accepting it
hotrod Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 don't think so stuart but they are accepting it I think it should be passed and everybody should get re.messured .i would love to see the real measurements some have . I fly against one guy who i give 3 miles to ,I have driven from his house by road and its exactly 3 miles to mine and its no a straight line ,ps sometimes I give him over 3 miles .impossible ?
Walter swanston Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 No it is not an SHU rule. The management committee of the Solway Federation decided that it was a far better idea than sticking pins in ordnance survey maps.I expect all feds in Scotland will follow the lead of the Solway (not for the first time)

Guest IB Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 I'm sure I read on here that google was slightly off for terrorism reasons :emoticon-0138-thinking: Just to clarify: SHU have passed the use of GPS for pinpointing loft location. The stipulation is that it must be done using the hand-held device. Internet apps must not be used as these are not always as accurate, probably for the reasons you've given.
