Reading this weeks BHW, I see the RPRA warning fanciers who purchased, Belgian, German, Dutch or French rings at Blackpool, that these rings are counterfeit, and birds wearing thee rings can not be raced or entered into shows.http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif I remember seeing a stall selling loads of rings in the Arena hallhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif

The rings they were selling caught my attention as they were a multitude of colours so stopped and browsed. Was I the only person who noticed they were selling Unicon and other ETS rings advertised at 5p each.I wanted to buy the packet of 100 and offered them £5 for the lot, however they produced a calculator and asked for £50.00. or 50p each which I declined as their was no way of telling if they were genuine although they appeared to have a chip inserted. If Dougie Bald had been in attendance on the Unikon stand I would have had him verify their authenticity. Bottom line !! I kept my money in my pooch.
