been colder a few nights ago , but Mrs B said so , so why not . doesnt smell too grand tho , we had a bird down the chimney about a 3 months ago ,and its obvously brought some dust and residue down with it :emoticon-0136-giggle: .your chimney fire did spring to mind Bill :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

evening Peter , i only had 3 back , so you could say it sorted them out .1 missing was nestmate to the first one back 3 weeks ago ?? other 2 non-returnees were off a new hen ,so i suppose i now know her fate at least. :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

For eight years we were in accomodation with a wood burner which the wife and I miss terribly. If we had our own house instead of renting we would have installed one. For anybody who has not experienced the magic of a wood burner you have never lived.

For eight years we were in accomodation with a wood burner which the wife and I miss terribly. If we had our own house instead of renting we would have installed one. For anybody who has not experienced the magic of a wood burner you have never lived.

if you have an open fire or even a straight forward gas flue ,you could set one up , and take it with you should you move on ?

Andy, It took ages to find a suitable garden to accomodate a race loft, stock loft, garden shed, outside table and 6 chairs, greenhouse, washing burlie, privacy, car stand, pub within 50 yards and paper shop within 100 yards. A wood burner was the last thing on my mind however the wife has it on her agenda when the landlord next visits to take it up with him. If I knew then what I know now I would have raked about in the South East coast 2 years ago for an old cottage with 1/4 an acre of land or preferably stayed down south in sunnier climes.

the gift of "hindsight" would be a marvellous thing , when i first divorced and had to rent , i looked first at the garden to see if it was suitable for a loft :emoticon-0136-giggle: , the house was a mess , took 3 years to make it tidy , and then left to move to Scotland , so much happier here :emoticon-0140-rofl:
