Sometimes the easiest/cheapest way to get birds closer to homeWe've done it at the request of the owners - before the stricter DEFRA regulations came into force - but we've got the bu**ers back as well

chrissyboy1 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Sorry to hear that Charlie two nice pigeons she was racing.Hope she takes comfort in the fanciers reply.
yeboah Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 A very good friend of mine got one of my doos in that i had lost training the day previous in his area it had already been in another loft as its ets was missing, also many of the birds i get in before sending them nearer home have had there race rubbers and ets taken off before they reach here ,there are some really sad people out there ,luckily we are talking minority .Think its about time ets could only be registered on the original base club station sure the manufacturers could do that after all they are making a wee profit of us .
Guest Owen Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 This is the bad side of racing pigeons and unfortunately I can not think of anything that can be done about it. If we could identify the culprits it would be easy but this is the sort of thing that these brainless vandals do unseen. I hope your wife realises that the vast majority of Fanciers are good honest men and women and that she was very unlucky to be involved with a cretin like this.
peter dempsey Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 just a thought I would be delighted if I got some of my birds back with new rubbers on them its my thoughts that someone was doing a good turn trying to get the birds back to rightful owners we are not allowed to put a bird in a basket unless rubberedin my time I have sent back alot of birds in this maner hoping they would make their way homeregards peter

kingbilly 1 Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 i dont beleve this could be a fancer who has done this mybe some one who keeps doves or dosent no about racing doos bit hard to take in but keep your chin up and if you need a pair for next year your more than welcome
blucock Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 believe me, its not fanciers cutting the life ring off its animal rights they are spreading the words and some of them have aviaries for injured birds etc so when racing pigeons brought to them they think they are releasing the bird from having to race.... when really they are condemning it to the bin
