Took my wee team of 3rd rounders (all 7 of them) to Strathclyde park this afternoon when i was going to pick the mrs up fae her work i put the basket oot on the grass and let them sit and settle down and let them go at 3.10 went to Asda got the wife dropped her off at the house and went back to the loft at approx 4pm and nothing home Sat waiting and eventually 1 dropped at 4.20 i say dropped the fkr landed in the park as if it had been spooked i sat till 5pm tonight and never got another feather so at around 6pm i was on the phone to my pal telling him what had happened when he tells me there is a percy that sits on 1 of the big lights in the park he had a doo liberated by someone coming up from down south in the park on monday and husnae seen it yet it's an old doo that was at Reims and didnae come far under a mile away so my 3rd team could be anywhere by now :(

Alan they can go from even the loft m8 with percy, Last sat 1 was 1st 2nd 4th 5th fed

 

on tuesday the birds were hammered near home minutes after being let out to fly with percy

 

the hen that topped fed came back at 9pm hole on shoulder wing torn out the birds that were 2nd 4th 5th fed are still missing from tuesday , ps these birds have had 5 races so if 29 of them can dissapear way percy yer we babies hardly stand a chance expletive remove

Correct and the quicker doomen get it into there head the better if we can t get HOMING pigeons home from 2 mile then what chance have they when there is numerous strikes on route from 100 mile this one returned from last week's race like that

Race your yearlings from the channel I done it this year because i had nothing to lose as i had enough quite surprised how well they done.

The Days are gone of building Teams and waiting till they mature good chance you will lose them from a toss

Why am I chucking it? because there is no way to build a family as soon as you think you are getting a team of bird's together bang disaster. I have been trying to build a team that's why I lost heart.

They used to say the basket is the test and your best birds will be left. Now luck plays a major part in the doo game.

All right for you sitting with proven stock birds to breed from you have a better chance of breeding better bird's. Guy's just starting up don't have that luxury.

 

Any how George will make his own mind up and he has a better fancier/mentor than me to take advice from.
