How many have you got home now Brian? All my birds that came home at weekend came from the West(Stirling area), think they have clashed with the North West doos, im down 21 from 45 sent, all well trained. Well peed off!!!

Sorry to hear that Brian! Hope more work their way back! Its been a nightmare 1st young bird race for alot of us. No one is more west than me in the Fed and ive "NEVER" in 19 years keeping doos seen so many of them coming from the west from a Kelso race which is so east, in a "No Wind" Liberation!

Frank, can't see the North West clashing with the Fife birds, we were up at 0815, 45 minutes ahead of you. The leaders were into our area by 1020. The only birds going west were Glasgow, 1100 from Cockenzie?

From Kelso with the Fife Fed, no more than 55 miles, 3 members of Dunfermline Club lost 50 birds between them, all well well trained! Dont know what the answer is anymore!!!

there was mist on the Forth all day, you couldn't see over,

9.20 ian leading birds were home 20 mins after fife liberated doing well over 1400 ypm i think the fife birds travelled northwest trying to get over the forth which as fifer says was fogged over hence the reason for coming out of the stirling area

I can only go on what i saw, in my opinion, the North West Fed clashed with The Fife Fed, North West were up at 0815,(didnt clear for 45 mins), then Fife Fed went at 9am.

maby sothey clashed but there all in the same geographical area and should have sorted them selves out if fife doos are with norwest doos fae grangemouth etc i find it hard to beleive that they cant find there way across the forth fae there , i would say they are not around the area at all , remember there was quite a blow off an east wind on sat and there were small batches of birds working home all day comming from the west and heading north east , one thing for sure they wernt our young birds as they were very few missing at clock check an hour after timming

whaur did you hear this P***,they didn't clear for 45 mins but they're doing 1454 ypm gie's a break frank

Don't think it would be north west as leading birds are in arond 9.25 -9.40 so i can't see it being them

the fife birds didnt clear kept coming back to the lib site. fife liberated at 9am and south lanakshire liberated from kelso at 9.45 maybe this why our brids come from the west. i think we need our 1st race a bit further down the road to give them a good run at the forth.48 miles is far to short

Sorry, I got my home time mixed up. The NW birds were in the area at 0920. They couldn't have hung around the racepoint for 45 minutes then did the 57 miles in 20 minutes. Remember too that our Fed is on the same latitude as and borders Fife, so hardly a clash.

Going by the times posted the North West Fed may have been the batch which came out the West via Camelon heading East at 09.40 with Midland birds in with them as 2 broke off and Uncle Albert timed one and I the other. Why would North West birds be so far West ???.

Whilst doing the clocks on saturday after the race one of our club members said he heard that the North West Fed doos didnt clear for 45 mins, but after reading some of the times obviously this isnt the case, i apologise for any confusion!
