Thats a tootaly different approach than normal with just being nestled in side of hill i never get percie bother at loft always sparr hens but this one came over the trees behing lofts just like the sparr hen does , whoever said they can catch a pigeon on the runs talking bull the pigeons wernt 2 m from the loft when it hit one and it had covered 100m in about a second , lick lightning :emoticon-0156-rain::emoticon-0156-rain: hope this is not the new senario now attaking at the loft , usually only get this when they go ranging along the hills

Had my youngsters out this morning, I let yearlings out with them to stop them ranging too far as I know from last year there is a Percy nest in range, after about an hour I saw Percy join them, mass exodus, only 13 young and 2 yearling cocks up, 30mins. later Bl. youngster zoomed in followed 10mins. later by a yearling cock then nothing for 90 mins. and I was shocked to see 12 come together which included 2 reds that have a torrid time here, got them in and was surprised that my 2 squeakers were there, only missing a dark youngster that I put up in a pic. of the hairy ones a while ago, Then at 5.15 in came my little darkie wings trailing like she'd done a couple of hundred miles, Oh happy day for a change

Yes Andy, I've done the lottery tonight

yip your very lucky m8 , what i was surprised at was the shear strength of them lifting a bird and flying up and of with it flapping about for nearly a mile until it lost grip with one leg and the birds flapping made it go down ,

my sister in law was over last night and they used to race but gave up and told her what happend , she stays right on the hills at milton and said they regularly see the percy comming down to birds flying round home and just glides past grabs one and feks of and she says half the time they take the back bird and the rest fly on without even noticing expletive remove , i said you surew it not a sparr and she say no it flys of up into the hills with the birds flapping away

Yes mate, they are amazingly powerful for their size, last year Percy family came for dinner, parents and two full grown young, had two of mine and passed them over to the youngsters who flew on as if they were carrying a feather

shocking and to think our birds are getting that every few miles now its a *expletive removed* disgrace so it is :emoticon-0156-rain::emoticon-0156-rain:
