Thing that puzzles me,if the inland nationals are taking birdage away from the gold cup and with the big losses from marlborough and cheltenham if those same doos cannae figure out how to get home from 200 plus miles how are they going to sort it out from 500 plus surely numbers does not make for good racing but the quality of the birds in it :emoticon-0138-thinking:

YOur post baffles me especially from the area you come from is it not true that you posted earlier in the season that you lost x amount from a silly training toss when a peregrine went into the from so many miles from home.

Seems to me your changing your tune here john. I thought you were a out and out Distance man.

no tunes changing here jim always liked the coastal races obviously in the past with a federation but nowadays with the nationals, great grounding for future 500 600 mile birds.imo :) :) :)

yes jamie you and Gareth will not be happy till we are going to 700 miles with a camper van with a saltire across the back!!!!!!!!!! and four baskets of doos!!!! the national needs every fancier in Scotland, racing from 300,400,500 and 600 miles whats the problem with catering for everyone??????.cmon lads time to get up to speed! :)

Bit of exaggeration there Mr Hood. The scary thing is that if we keep having stinkers in the first inland national, it'll not be a 700 mile race with 4 baskets in a camper van, it'll be the gold cup itself. Bring back Sartilly 1 !

opinions vary del!!!!!! where do these boys think we will be in 5 or 10 years, togetherness is the answer cater for all. ;)

john there wont be a pigeon sport in 5 to ten years between the hawk problem the erratic racing and the poor sportsmanship in this game its only going to chase men out the game if some fanciers put as much effort into there doos as they do about bickering about the pigeon men that do they would get on better

Hey mate whats wrong with an Inland nat as far as they can go INLAND.??

Yes i understand what your saying about the Entries but at that time of year there are more pigeons left to send for a fact. The truth is i might no be sending any to Alencon Why do you ask that??as my best doos IMO have went down the tubes, and dont give me that nonesense that they couldna have been your best doos or they widnae been down. Theres plenty better doos down than the ones that ive lost thats for sure on this shambles of a west route. Is it not true that you guys in the Solway love when Lanarkshire go west to give you guys cover as ive never heard of yus or the midland fed going before the big lanarkshire.

Only asked if ye wer sendin to Alencon because a lot of folk use Newbury as a setup for the gold cup and cos you didny send tae Newbury then my next question would have been about yer prep and how if the Inland nat was removed it would affect yer plans.

The solway dinny give a toss where the Lanarkshire race their birds!!! We wer racing east up until this year!!!

You have had 8 races doon the west and I have not seen the Lanarkshire birds come over the fechan???The east wind is having a huge bearing on the flightpath and returns!!!!
