Still 4 to come myself from yesterday not had a doo from the back of 4 yesterday afternoon

still only got 8 from 37 none today i got 7 in 10 mins yest 6 of them inesperienced yearlings , no 2 and 3 yrs old made home apart from 1 at 9 last night ript wih percie

I was 5 short over night and 3 were sitting when i went up this morning. Bro says 2 were there at 6am but he lacks the initiative to let them in!!! The 2 still missing both went with a question mark against them, i know the answer to the question now

 

Have to say that when down the A1 route i wasn't getting next day birds so its a pleasant surprise to get them next morning again.

you must be feeling realy low at the momment just cant figure out what whent wrong yesterday the last 2 years we have had full returns from this race point thats why i put out a strong team hoping to get them set up for the nationals back to the drawing board

yip i got all the birds last year no problem , more to yesterday than meets the eye , all other orgs seem to be pretty good even the lads down the wild west are comming well

|I still have 7 to come another loft local to me has 10 to come another loft has 4 missing flying down the wild west.

although some lofts had 100 % returns they will gladly tell you but others who have lost keep it quiet ???

Still remember the disaster that Lanarkshire had from Wetherby in 2009, perfect day, nobody to clash with as our doos were held back to let other organisations pass.

No answer could be found why such a bad race was experienced by Lanarkshire members. My own personal opinion that day was Menwith hill which is a US communications centre at Harrogate, its roughly 5-6 miles west of the line of flight that the convoy would have taken.

 

STB and Slim45, perhaps the convoy got splt into 2-3 groups by percy and then between the K Index being high and Menwith hill then some of these groups would have struggled to orientate their way home whilst others had good to reasonable returns.

 

All ifs and butts i know, but i generally do hope that your returns get better over the next few days.

We had much the same conversation about the all home brigade yesterday Frank but in our club with us all being on ETS ye have to tell the truth or look like a dafty but some people still cannae tell the truth about their returns from the race or their times

 

Personally i thought i would really struggle yesterday in that wind with most of my doos going for their 1st race and was well pleased to get up to 14 from 18 before 5pm yesterday but not had another feather since and still missing 4 yet

My personal losses are down to a combination of my mis -management and poor birds.

i dont mention our returns usually for the above reason,got fed up going to the club with half stuff home and other boys were all up only to finish the old bird season and combine av with most of the all up guys stopped at 200 miles. :( before anyone takes this the wrong way i know this is not always the case and a lot of fanciers do get them all home and good luck to them as their doos are tip top and also have carried that wee bit of luck needed for todays racing,for the record we are 6 missing wetherby/catterick. :(

We were at Charnock richard with the Midland fed the race seem`d to be okwith leaders doing 1300`s but it was a sticky race coming in 1/2s all day oor club members were a few down at clock check ,

i have 13/14 so i`m very happy on returns but i have had my big losses too ,dropped 6/20 from appleby and was 9/20 in a training toss .

Let the bull shitters carry on they are only kidding themselves no one else.

A canny complain a was 20 mins behind but got them all the last 1 was there for 1 rst race this year
