cemetary Posted May 10, 2012 Author Report Posted May 10, 2012 bond again????? john :emoticon-0179-headbang: John, There is something seriousley wrong with them, they should be grounded altogether, when i got told the day, i got a shiver and thought the worst, but am glad alls well with the guys, one guy i worked with on there he was 3rd to come out the chopper, big Jim.
john cumming Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 with their(bond) track record over the past few years they should be grounded full stop, and who yesterday award the contract for shell central to bond, yes SHELL they are a joke penny pinching and pressurising companies into pushing prices down to secure contracts compromising safety, todays events just says it all, the oil companies should be more accountable as well as it is them forcing financial pressures on the companies, and i work on a shell central platform, it is a worrying time john :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang:
peter pandy Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Travelled in a sykorsky once in 1986 and did not feel comfortable with that mode of transport. In 1988 I was asked to report to Aberdeen as soon as possible as a chopper had went down carrying workers in from a rig. I did not really fancy rig work as there is no where to go if something seriously goes wrong but was assured the rig I would be going to was as safe as houses as it was an established one.I still knocked it back and their but for the grace of god I remained at home.Oh yes the name of the rig I was to go to Piper Alpha.
