THE FIFER Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 what is your progress and methods in the loft, are you paired, and when, stock,racers,and in the weeks to come, working up to racing, and how do you look after your birds sitting eggs this cold weather
andy Burgess Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 what is your progress and methods in the loft, are you paired, and when, stock,racers,and in the weeks to come, working up to racing, will hopefully get nest-boxes fitted in the race loft shortly (delayed due to being un-well) but would normally pair all after Blackpool .will be a few weeks behind,but hope it wont make to much diffrence.

Guest Dorset-lad Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Paired last tuesday the cocks are busy building away this morning with pine needles although they have nest felts aswell so shouldnt be to long around hopefuly 1st lot of eggs since 1996 looking forward to it . Nice to be back in the sport, and to be welcomed the way i have on here with new friends. So here is me saying thank you to Pigeon Basics Archie and its members for such a welcome because if i didnt stumble across this site i probably would never have started back up again. regards Brian

I will be racing these dry as I have a fair stock team and not too much space. 20/25 youngsters will do me this season. I have over 50 OBs to race I will pair the stock pigeons in a couple of weeks

REDCHEQHEN Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 stock birds paired on the 6th January - racers on the 8th - first eggs laid 16th and 17th Jan respectively quite a few eggs broken in stock loft - one lot of eggs broken in race loft - one pair (atleast) not sitting their eggs in the race loft 2 hens in the race loft although they have laid still do not know which box they are supposed to be in :rolleyes: first eggs should be chipping this weekend - only have 33 rings
