Roland Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Players ought to be ashamed of them selves. Ok they are even good, but at least they could have tried a bit harder after all they were supposedly playing for their country! :-/ You can't blame the manager for that! Seems to me that they are on a milk train where any manager has to pick up the tabbs. Ok possibly it is because of the poor quality of the players, plus their attitudes, that no one wants to try and assemble a decent side. :P ;D ;D ;D But seriously they could have at least turned up to play. Can't blame any manager for that if they are playing for their' country! That in it's self should be incentive enough to be proud to pull on the shirt. Could still close the opposition down, stand on their feet so to speak and nullify the oppositions qualities, and let's face it Wales aren't exactly Brizil are they. Just look at the English disgrace for 10 years or more under Hoddle, Sven and McClaren. More interested in posing, night clubbing and impressing their mate partners than playing. Under this manager they will at least turn out, if outclassed or not.
Guest pigeonboyno1 Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Finnally don't no why they pick him in the first place.
Roland Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Cos nobody else will take the job. especially when players are only too apt to under perform so the manager takes the rap for their failings. Gosh many Scottish past players - Just look at the 50's 60's and early 70's - would walk to the game and fight to play. Didn't take a backward step but husslte and fought none stop every minute of the game. If they lost, the winners certainly knew they had been there. No quarter asked or given. Showed tremedous individual skills and fight! Indeed their biggest drawback if one is so bold to say, was their lack of team work. Just so many good individual players that on manyoccasions if they had gelled proper were as good as nigh any, certainly most worldwide. I believe 'Player Power' has a lot to do with their poor performances and cover excuses. JMO P.s in the Home country games one never ruled Scotland out for a second, and KNEW that they were there for the endurance win lose or draw to the end. Now, they pose, pull faces and shirk, make excuses and blame managerment. Don't think even Jose Mourino could get half a decent half out of them. Yes some are good players granted, but as the Boxers state, too many are looking for the floor.... an easy way out. JUST answer me this one question: Hands up those that were proud of their players on Saturday? Or the last few games even ..... :-/ Now hands up those that in the 50's 60's 70's etc. who were proud after EVERY game win lose or draw. who were still sing and shouting 'Bonny Scotland' all night and the next week' NOW Thousand of hands have gone up!
Guest strapper Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 long gone are the times when scotland could pick some very good players...that conveyor line has stopped, and i think some have to face it that the team aint like it used to be,long gone are the days of dalglish souness hansen mcoist strachan etc. i think any national team would relish them kind of qualities in their teams.
aye ready Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 gordon smith should go aswell he was sitting in the stand laughin his head off when we were 3-0 down (verymad)
celtic Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Craig Levein might be the one who'll take the job
BLACK W F Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 CELTICS OVER THE MOON ALREADY LINED UP TO TAKE OVER
billt Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 The top players are all millionair's now, they play for their club that earns the cash after that they're not bothered
ALF Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Dont know if anyone in a job just now would apply for it :-/ Why should they as it looks like it's a poison challace :X :X I think it's going t be a few years before we have what we can call a team again :o :o
Chris Little Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 No one in the right mind will take on the job. Long gone are the days when a player would die to wear a Scotland shirt
