if the birds go down the west it will break the habit of following the firth of forth down to stirling and then coming home from the campsie hills.no guessing on this line of flight, ask the boys over there where the lanarkshire birds come from on a saturday

between ten and fifteen years ago when we flew west i could see the birds especially the young birds, coming home from the direction of tinto hill and they would be about ten miles away, such was the size of the batch.and you would have the biggest majority of your team land together.those days are long gone, now we are having birds winning eighty mile races by ten mins,in the club.nobody in there right mind could possibly believe that there birds are ten mins inferior to that bird, maybe the west will bring a bit of order to the chaos

CCan someone give me the pros and cons of east and west? I honestly don't know having not had the expierance that's why i never voted

Dont know if this is what your looking for but this is something i posted 2 weeks ago.

=====================================================================

Otterburn is the only race point that has been a success for Lanarkshire, all the other race points down the east have been poor,

East reasons for bad racing

. Clashing

. Hawks

. Pennines

. Airports

. Military aircraft bases

. Menwith Hill

. Different line of flight each week

West problems for bad racing

. Hawks which possibly is still that little bit more populated than the east.

it seems to me that there is no democracy left in the pigeon game its not the hawks rader or whatsowever that is destroying the sport it is pigeon men themselves with the bickering and back stabbing that goes on if a fed or club have a democratic vote then abide with that vote dont go and look at ways to over turn the vote of the people who are prepared to go to meetings and cast there vote so just accept the vote of the majority and get on with racing your pigeons

spot on with those words

i still think there should be a new vote, with all the clubs,

being asked of there honest opinion, before there is a catastrophe, and all the votes counted, to save the fed, as if this goes tits up, with all taking a vote then there will be less aggro.

and pigeon men leaving for other feds. the race program and what side is to important an issue for the likes of 50 members to change when we fly with 450 -500 members and if the club take the vote then there is no need to be at any hall

fighting the bit out, and hearing who can shout the loudest.

all fed business should be club buissness first and then taken to the fed to frank it. so lads get your vote to your delegate. before it turns sour. bigda here to help all pilgrim's

you know as well as me, the guys that voted for the west, will not mind a recount and should, the majority favour the west or east, well it will be written in stone, that's democracy, i have no problem

having to make, and take a vote, on this issue. hope we can agree on this new vote, as i am willing to give it a go,

it cant be deemed that important to fly east or west if only 50 out of 450 turned up

I think most fanciers took it for granted that it would be east again as the racing we have had from the east have been good ,especially the old birds i dont remember EVER having a bad race with the old birds from the East ROUTE. Theres been losses but thats normal for any route.

THERE WAS APPROX 80 PEOPLE IN THE HALL! 80 PEOPLE THAT TOOK TIME OUT TO GO TO WHAT IS 1 OF THE FEDS MOST IMPORTANT MEETINGS OF THE YEAR AND IF YE DIDNAE GO FOR WHATEVER REASON DONT COME ON HERE GREETING NOO CAUSE THE DOOS ARE GOING DOON THE WEST IF EVEN A 1/4 OF THE GUYS THAT HAVE MOANED ABOUT IT TO ME HAD BOTHERED TURNING UP AT THE MEETING WE WOULD STILL BE FLYING EAST NEXT YEAR SO NO POINT TRYING TO CHANGE IT NOW THE RACING WILL START IN APRIL FAE THE WEST END OF AND I VOTED EAST!!!

100% right.

Like you say if more of the 370 odd were bothered they would have been there. No vote, don't warrent a say or opinion.

i we know that, but it still should have been made club business first, this is to big an issue for a small amount of guys to determine, in the interest of the feds well being the fed should only be there to endorse the decision of the clubs

and provide transport for the clubs. so i dont see a problem

having another vote to make sure all the pilgrim's are getting what they want, either east or west.

can i ask (as an outsider) was the opportunity not given to those 4 or 500 members to vote or attend this meeting when the decision was made ?? seems strange from my view that they didnt have that chance to speak up ??

danny you are a trumpet who didnt even turn up for your meeting so you should just shut up goat

you are right i did not turn up as i was at the football match

but i realized that, later on i am only asking for a fair chance

and a vote for every one here i am not too bothered but there are pilgrims saying to me its club buissness this, and i have to speak up for them they are just wanting every one to vote and they feel this is not fed business, and they want things like this to go out for a vote in the clubs not a hard thing to ask is it now some clubs have 20 members so just need to ask your secretary to have a vote then send into fed and delegates tell it as it is then there is no chance of any funny buissness with people come mob handed to hoodwink the rest of the fed AS THEY DID DO WHEN IT WENT EAST.

so i am here to ask for your help here get a vote going in your club, to help every one.

with the fed being so big, and the hall being so small, and pilgrims with alternative ideas, and deliberately rigging the vote to suit, coming in numbers just to cause bother, as it was once done before, i feel this is the perfect solution now as to stop the rot, and make it a club decision, as it will never be resolved as the hall would not be big enough to hold 500 members

bigda giving it to you as is
