kirky Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 I was told bad weather in N/E Englandits ok at scarborough blue sky comming in from the west after rain over night and early morning wind l/t n/w changing to westerly.
Guest IB Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Billy lets hope it was a joint decision and i am trying to get a line of flight path for all my contacts including the Electrical?Storm at Whitby. Colin did they give you a reason ? NW & Central Feds are on the same transporter. We could not get an early lib because the North Road liberations were given priority. There is bad weather coming in off the North sea to cover all of Scotland in heavy rain this afternoon. A later lib would not allow birds to get home before that heavy rain arrived. Sounds a reasonable enough judgement to me.

Thanks Ian for your honest reply.Lanarkshire Fed were at the race point at 4.00am and could have quite easily went prior to the Up North Combine going.Any way its history lets move on.
blue63 Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Think it was the right decision the heavy rain has arrived quicker than they said really heavy here in east of scotland

Snatch Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Harky dont be nasty they are all sittin at Huntingdon which i think and only my opionin will brought back to Otterburn?? Not the best preparation for national races, a race fae otterburn. Was looking forward to a race fae huntingdon aswell, stiffen the doo's right up. A day less to recuperate for next week if folk had doo's intended for eastbourne.
Guest IB Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Been cloud coming over from east for last hour or so, sun long since gone, and rain has arrived.
chrissyboy1 Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Looks like a good decision by Lanarkshire race controller ," tomorrow is another day"

clockman Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 George if you had been sittin in Lanarkshire the Doos would have been home if you had been sittin in dundee you wid need ducks
tyson Posted June 11, 2011 Author Report Posted June 11, 2011 budgie have you ever done controling before??? you have got to relise your birds are at 280mls probably looking at a 7/8hr fly for the leading birds the controller has got to try and predict what the weather is going to be in that time and the forcast was not good so stop your moaning and abide by your race controllers decision he is only looking after the pigeons
