WulDon Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Posted March 5, 2011 47 birds now home... would just like to take this opportunity in thanking everybody who has followed this 'topic' which has generated immense interest with over 10,000 views, looking forward to 2012 already... pity not in final but not given up thatb easy, started selecting stock pairs already in which my future hopefuls will be bred from, hopefully 2012 will bring some more Scottish entrants
just ask me Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 well done too all involved but i do feel the future of this race needs to be looked at with only 44 birds left from over 2500 and with the cost to enter fanciers would have sent there best
Guest paulrstokes Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 well done too all involved but i do feel the future of this race needs to be looked at with only 44 birds left from over 2500 and with the cost to enter fanciers would have sent there best I agree totally we campaign in one hand against the effect bop is having on our prized birds, imagine the bad publicity this could generate.I am all for one loft racing but 44 from 2500 is not acceptable.

WulDon Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 willie when have you to send your youngsters over how much does it cost to enter .thanks robbie hi robbie... you send a team of 5 young birds, pay and activate one young bird only at this stage only costing 220 euro, the other four are reserves, should you have more than one left at the 'activation period' then you have first choice to activate your own reserve pigeons at once again 220 euro per pigeon, if you dont activate then they are made available to the public as you would have seen happen this year. shipping cost was around 400 euro, i sent ten so maybe less for a team of five not too sure. it is a few bob and a huge gamble, but somebody got to win the jackpot...
