Ypres appears to be a race for the furure. From 2010 an International with at least Scotland, Ireland and Wales competing. This year an SNFC race for the first time, and open to federations to be convoyed / duplicate into.

2009: 3rd July, marking Wedy 1st July.

If its International what is wrong with the English being invited.

Believe all Organisations in Britain have been invited, just waiting on confirmation (which is expected) but too late for 2009.

English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh and a lot of other Nationalities died on that battlefield all those years ago; the people of Ypres want the skies black with pigeons to commerate their sacrifice.

RPRA members were included last year - I think it's the same this year, although it's a SNFC race? Need to wait and see what the committee come up with.

Everyone was invited last year as it was an invitation race. As it is now an official SNFC race I would think it will be only for members but as you say the committee might be able to come up with something.

can anyone tell me if the threat of litigation still hangs over the snfc or is all that nonsense now over with once and for all

According to the outgoing President's statement at yesterday's AGM, clubs lawyers say that threat ends in 2010.

Wondered at that myself. Know that there was a 'run out'  though at one point :)  :)  :) SVP offered an intermission, hall decided no, but he needed to go, and others in the hall too, so there was a mass exit to 'le loo'. Jim O'hara commented on business continuing during this, but that (apparently) was what the member's wanted.
