hotrod Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Ballochmyle £15.00 fed fees and £65.00 convoying for all races any amount of birds. graham is that including the inland nationals?
walterbmasson Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 ITS NICE TO SEE THAT FEDS ARE KEEPING THINGS SO CHEAP GRAHAM IT HELPS WITH THE RISING COSTS OF CORN
kirky Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Ballochmyle £15.00 fed fees and £65.00 convoying for all races any amount of birds. how many races does that cover.
hotrod Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 glasgow fed is £100 that incudes fed membership fee , 10 taining tosses on transporter 5 for old and 5 for young, and all inland races including wanstead flats , and maidstone, i think 16/17 races as many birds as you like
Blue Chequer Pied Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 IS THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND FED THE CHEAPEST RUNNING FED BIRDAGE AT 20P FANCIERS LIKE SANDY MUTCH @JHON THOMPSON ETC KEEPING A TIGHT FIST ON THE PURSE STRINGS IN THE EARLY DAYS AND ITS BEEN ON AN EVEN KEEL EVER SINCE WITH AN EXCELLENT SECRETARYIN CHRISTINE RITCHIE HAS BEEN A GREAT ASSET FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS HOW CHEAP IS YOUR FEDS ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Walter you are right, Sandy was always and still is passionate about keeping the cost down for all fanciers no matter how many they send every week. The north of Scotland Fed has always been well run and when you consider the logistics of picking up birds from Nairn to Peterhead and the costs involved the Fed is an example to most. Long may it continue. Paul.
retired Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 HOW CHEAP IS YOUR FED Sorry cant anwser that one as nothing about our fed is cheap!!!!!
kirky Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 i think it is better to pay per bird, as when a lump sum up front i think the small team flyer is paying for mob flyers.

hotrod Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 i think it is better to pay per bird, as when a lump sum up front i think the small team flyer is paying for mob flyers. kirky this is basedon say average 40p /birdfor all inland races thats about 380 odd miles an average 10 birds/ race at 16 races is £64 and 10 birds/week is not mob flying mate.
kirky Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 kirky this is basedon say average 40p /birdfor all inland races thats about 380 odd miles an average 10 birds/ race at 16 races is £64 and 10 birds/week is not mob flying mate. was looking at the ones paying £100 to £150 per season mate. when others are paying 34p 35p a bird.
hotrod Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 was looking at the ones paying £100 to £150 per season mate. when others are paying 34p 35p a bird. you will find its 34/36p per race but when it gets a bit farther it would go up significantly, we find that once payed, then no more weekly birdage charge, then more money goes on the pools.
GRAHAM MITCHELL Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Its for 10 old bird and 6 young bird races. Yes Stuart it counts the 2 inland nationals + Falaise . If you go through the national you still have to pay the national birdage . If you are lucky enough to fly a big team you certainly get value for money at £65.00
stantheman Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 our fed charges £115 for 21 races and you can send as many as you want no extras to pay its the best way as the fed knows its budget before season starts and can plan races accordingly its good value at just over a fiver a week
rembrant2coo Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 was looking at the ones paying £100 to £150 per season mate. when others are paying 34p 35p a bird. As we in the Kingdom assoc take 34p kirky that takes us down to leicester and huntingdon giving us a 300 mile race we then take£1-50 for wanstead flats which we see as an open race and we fly 390 miles before the channel and all races make a good profit after all expenses , so your answer to your question, 34p and we will not be changing anything this year again status quo
Pompey Mick Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Here on the South Coast the majority of our races are cross-channel. The birdage last year was astronomical, mainly because of the 7day rule and administration costs, hopefully this year with weekly racing and a new administration in place there will be a significant reduction. Race Point Birdage Kingsdown 0.82 91mls Lessay 1 0.51 110mls Picauville 0.55 100mls Falaise 1 0.65 137mls Falaise2 1.27 Messac 1 1.58 208mls Lessay 2 1.25 Tours 1 1.54 250mls Tours 2 2.0 Lessay 1.07 Saintes 1.90 350mls Lessay 1.35 Bergerac 3.78 417mls Kingsdown 0.41 Exeter 0.46 108mls Guernsey 1.13 112mls Yelverton 0.93 133mls Kingsdown 0.42 Exeter 2 0.62 Yelverton 2 1.17 Guernsey 1.73 As you can see we dont get many miles for our money. Over the season I sent 175 pigeons and my total fed bill was approx £190.00 plus £28.00 Fed Fees.
Guest Dublin lofts Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Irish south road fed €75.France €12 per bird ,inland opens €2 per bird 200mls
