Have been using G10 pellets (with Gemthepax added) and been happy with the condition of the birds. Trying to make a decision whether to change, any advice would be appreciated.

The additives in each pellet seem to be beneficial in different ways and cannot decide which side of the fence to jump.

hi, yes ive been using the bos pellets, at first they wouldnt eat them but if gradually introduced they will. to be honest i saw no benifit to ybs fed by parents compared to other years when using different growing pellets, although i did notice the pigeons droppings were smaller and firmer (and pink) and i also think they are quite expensive for the amount you get...

Tried them at the beggining of breeding thought they were ok and early y/b's looked good on them but a wee bit pricey at approx £11 a bag so i decided to give the chicken layer pellets a try and they/b's coming out the nest are still very good but they are £7.30 a bag so i'll stick to them from now on ;)

yeah, agree they are a bit pricey.....and if i can get hold of the layer pellets again i wont be buying the bos pellets.....also found ybs were alot bigger/healthier on the chicken layer pellets. :)

I have reared my young birds on them from the stock hut, they are looking very fine, i gave them to the stock very slowley and they ate them with no problems, i will slowley introduce them to the young birds when i get them.

i used bos pellets on my first round the birds went mad on them but there was no differance in the rearing of the ybs, as i did not use them on the 2nd round and thay was just as good.

Little Sam !! More Hype??

Have you tried bamfords Bos pellets??? if not then you must do .

I would say to all that they produce Fantastic youngsters if used as a mix with peas or something to make it more appetizing to the older parent birds..they are more than is needed used on there own but you would need to run a water tap to each birds box to keep up with the thirst that all pellets produce when used ..I used colostrum last year for the youngsters and i can see no difference in this years youngsters using the Bos pellet from Bamfords..if i had to pick, then the pellet gives a more robust youngster ...i found the colostrum matured the birds too quickly sexualy...

Not ideal for racing i think as the thirst generated is abnormal and if your bird is hounded from the drinker and cant get a swig then it,s goosed ...

In as far as breeding goes and for what it,s worth then top marks from me ..

Give em' a try.
