Kyleakin Lofts Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 the shu have given the go ahead to race at a meeting tonight so i was told the shu have given the go ahead to race at a meeting tonight so i was told I was not told that there was a Meeting tonight. Perhaps it has been kept to the three Presidents. Nothing has been posted to the Clubs yet.
Kyleakin Lofts Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 the mighty lanarkshire changed there mind the mighty lanarkshire changed there mind If that is the case, and I don't doubt it, then after the original permission was given, the later retractions would make this a U turn and show the SHU as being weak and unable to stand up to pressure from its Members. I sincerely hope that if they have changed their mind they have very valid reasons for so doing and not just that Lanarkshire is joining the RPRA or forming a rival Union, the West of Scotland Union. This lack of decision has cost the SHU a massive amount of credibility and they didn't have very much credibility with some fanciers before this, so on the positive side, they have successfully managed to increase their critics.

Hidoo Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 Looking at the state of play,I think Lanarkshire are doing right thing hope they go to RPRA. Scotland feds should do the same thing SHU have always been a joke never get a straight answer sit on the fence this is nothing new just take your money. Time for sport the fanciers to get a grip nothing will change is SHU one thing RPRA Are 100%percent better.

Hidoo Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 SHU are rubbish that the bottom line the fanciers will have to move on,this is 2020 look on RPRA website plenty info. Did anyone from SHU meet MSP to discuss training and racing you have to go and state the fanciers case face to face fight our corner this is a ha ha.

Andy, have you seen or read any statement from Ian Evans, RPRA CEO that has come directly from the Scottish Government That can be verified or validated. Is the name of the person/minister that he has spoken with concerning the racing of pigeons in Scotland actual known, or has this all yet again been word of mouth.

jimbo54 Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 Regarding Shu E-mail still no racing until at least phase 2 of lockdown kicks in.
b.massey Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 Be racing soon Training is permitted from today and racing from phase 2 Phase 2 should allow racing to take place on the 20th June
Walter swanston Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 There are two hotels used for SHU council meetings. One is inWhitburnI forget its name and the other is The Holiday Inn atStrathclyde park justofftheM74.Both of these hotels have large conference rooms wherea degree of social distancing could be achieved..Surely with all the discontent at present a meeting could be arranged and an attempt made for the SHU to get its house in order.Strict minutes of such a meeting should be kept and published for the information of the Fancy in Scotland.
doomaloon Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 well done all at the shu, clear to train out the road a bit now and hopefully racing after the 18th
