My routine hasn't changed that much apart from shopping, We are isolated anyway, I use the car to visit my nearest neighbours, I never take the dogs out for walkies as they are free to roam the farm with us. Luckily we have had wonderful weather this last week, Our daughter who lives about a mile from us said she went to our nearest corner shop, about 7 miles from us and there was a notice in the window saying. If you know anyone unable to get out we will deliver and if they have run out of money we will deliver for free, can't get better than that

Before last week, the last time I baked a cake was in June 2002 when I couldn't sleep, last week I baked 4 cakes and a pile of scones, and have baked two more cakes so far this week and another load of scones, as I'm on lockdown for a minimum of 12 weeks I'll be needing some new clothes as nothing is going to fit!

Feed stock and check babies in the nest

Every other day allow cocks or hens out at 10am feed them in

Let youngsters out at 3 pm feed them in at 5 pm play with them for half hour

Feed old birds remaining food of the daily ration at 530pm

Top up stock cocks food

Cleaning wise do cocks and ybs one day next day hens and stock

What have I done during the past 5 weeks that I have been in lockdown?

Power washed the greenhouse, two huts and the pigeon loft.

Cut the grass three times

Painted the gate two doors and a wall.

Raked the gravel

Put down weed killer

Started bedding out plants for hanging baskets and sweet peas.

Read a lot of books

Watched a lot of Netflix and AmazonPrime

I am totally f****** sick looking at the place and will have to make a break for freedom soon.

Really enjoying this thread, almost as much as the exploits of Peter Pandy!--this man should write a book! For me and my family on the Island things are not to bad however we lost two friends to the virus, both elderly and with underlying conditions, but still passed too soon.

Because I've only recently returned to the sport racing this season isn't a priority. I have six pairs, rearing twelve healthy youngsters and now down on their second round,---maybe take another six? and buy a few more.

My wife Trish and I still help out at our daughters Riding Centre (no customers but plenty to do)so thank goodness we still get to see our three year old grandson Murray,he has type one diabetes and needs consistent monitoring so we do our best to help.

Apart from that our place never looked better, loft painted, fences fixed, grass cut weeds sprayed but to be perfectly honest if it wasn't for the pigeons I'd be bored shitless!!

Seeing them flying out each day(despite the BOP) has kept me reasonably close to sanity and feeling so fortunate compared to so many.

God bless The NHS and the occasional bottle of Morgan's Spiced!,
