Hi all does anyone use copper sulphate in the bath water for the birds read an article about a guy that uses it just wondering how goo it would be he recons its good for the feathers and kills lice and helps with raspatory

sounds like a wonder product , but ive never heard of anyone using it ??

many years ago the Avoca Mines that would pump there afall into the river our birds would go to what was known as the Island in centre of town of Arklow there they would freely drink and bath themselves you could clearly see the copper ore along the island those birds were super healthy and never seemed to have any bother from Canker hope this helps refards peter

its quite toxic 11 micro grams can kill a human that micro grams not 11 grams

 

Copper sulfate is a severe eye irritant and can cause substantial damage to the eyes. If inhaled, the dust can cause respiratory irritation. Copper sulfate should not be ingested. Doing so will cause serious diarrhea and vomiting

Are you sure it's not potassium personage your after. Just a pinch between two fingers in the bathwater great for the feathers and getting rid of lice

The guys name is Graham Davison he uses it twice a week at 1 tablespoon to 25 litres water in the moulting and 1 once a month in the race season
