Colsacre Posted August 3, 2019 Report Posted August 3, 2019 Fraserburgh & District saw 4 members send 48 birds to Dunfermline, a distance of 124 miles to most. 1st - L Lindsay & J Paterson - 12422nd - L Lindsay & J Patterson - 12413rd - L Lindsay & J Patterson - 12414th - A Buchan - 12285th - A Buchan - 12066th - A Buchan - 1206 Congratulations from FDFC go to Logan and Josh, and their helpers on winning their first race since joining the club. They had 6 on the drop in a head wind on a day where a lot of fanciers were struggling. They had 15/19 returns. Just shows that all the training and effort has paid off. Not only can they race them, but they know their birds as they won the nom for the third week in a row. Well done boys.

gordon wilson Posted August 4, 2019 Report Posted August 4, 2019 They are flying well they had the only bird on the fed list last week and there loft is in the west sec and didn't get there 1 st west section ticket , I did enquire ta our president and asked him why as his loft is west of Banff and it was going ta be looked into well done again ta very nice YOUNG FANCIERS XXWalter the west section come about because with the prevailing wind being mostly westerly, Fraserburgh ,Inverallochy Peterhead ect were winning the Federation every week and the lofts in the west were not getting any recognition for there birds efforts. Our birds have to break from the main batches that come up the coast every week and we only get a shout if the wind is in our favour It was decided that the west section would be made up of members for Huntly Turriff Keith Banff Elgin and Forres and the boundry line was the road from Inverurie to Rothienorman on to Turriff then finishing in Macduff. Fyvie is well inside the east section and that is the reason they were not accepted By Deveron Valley pcWe have never refused any new member who was in our section in fact Josh Paterson joined our club as his last address was within our boundry then decided to change his loft position to Fyvie and he has now got his birds on the road now and we are happy for him an east section member flying for west section tickets does not work with the west members I hope this clears this situation for you Gogs
