Aye , a holdover it is

Bart - I never gamble with a pigeons welfare, I put my trust in the race controllers to look after not only my birds but all the others on the transporter, I was anticipating a 2 / 3 / 4 day holdover but it was not to be.... I have birds sitting at Reims still waiting to go,thankfully they are still safe in the baskets

The fact is though, the Met Office got it bang on for Sunday, as I have already mentioned, I was elsewhere today, probably in the line of flight and it chucked it down

The race controllers made a right balls up of the whole thing, I am very rarely critical of the guys who have to control races but lets face it, today was a total disaster..... pathetic > It is all very well saying, " the leading birds made it home in good home " , all very well , what about the other 99 % of the poor birds that never. I am disgusted > > rooting for all you guys that have many doos to return.....

Our fed made the mistake of racing back down the west, losses are far higher than that when we raced from the east

Roland - Seems I have touched a nerve here ;D and I couldn't give a monkeys, I only speak from my own observations and no one elses, if I were to breed several thousand youngsters a year I too would be expecting to hear from someone to say they've won a national from one of them. Our recent seasons have given us a huge amount of enjoyment with a decent national CV to match, as you say, there are 100's out there that are better...... so what....... we enjoy our sport Mark - Pleased to hear the ybs are co ing along nicely

It is quite apparent that this issue about fanciers supposedly owing money is too much for some ;D ;D ;D Quite frankly I couldn't give a monkeys , I see no need in stirring this up all the time. If there is fanciers out there that owe money then let them deal with it on their own accord, there is far too many people getting their knickers in a twist about it, race your pigeons, it is much more fun than flapping about a few quid and politics

Hi Scott Nae worries mate, pretty well thick skinned down here Fair play to you in trying to pull everyone together, I wish you well in the venture, it will not be easy but I hope you are successful, our sport has took a real bashing in Scotland, I have no interrest at all in politics, leave that to the over paid fart in Hollyrood ;D In terms of you sticking to what you do best is.... racing pigeons, you are very darned good at it, dont give Andy too many tips eh not Cheers Chris
