  2. Just back from the clock station and i thank you all for the congratulations offered, just a pity more fanciers hadnt got a pigeon i know how everybody feels as i was realy down the last two days with so little chance of pigeons getting through in these conditions. Jock

I used to meet up with him and his late friends Wullie Bell, Rab Frame, and Billy King at Blackpool and many a good night we had and the memories will stay with me for ever, i also met up with him at national marking and sales in Newmains and will miss him as he was one of the sports perfect gentelmen,R.I.P. my friend. PS I would be obliged if someone could post the funeral arrangements on here.

    Id go along with Minight Son's proposed race programme where the races are spread out,at the moment we have 3 channel races in 8 days no club could get decent entries with such a programme.

  9. Yes Frank most of these ybs were trained out of McMerry from early June but i am no worse than the rest of the members for losses,only 4 members out of 9 timed in this weeks race.
  10. the worst losses ive experienced, however got 12 today (1 at 8 oclock tonight) now 15 from 21 but no more from last week, and thanks for your concern Alex. Cheers Jock
  11. you made the right decision Allan, i sent some that came on the Sat last week and some fresh ones and have only 3 from 21. (27 from 53 last week)
  12. no your right Frank last week was a disaster but it was nothing on this week with only 3 out of 21 sent and members without a bird,the worst in the federations history.

  15. they nest in Cairngryffe quarry every year which is roughly 2 mls in a line from where you liberated,if you leave Carnwath travelling towards Newbigging look to your right (south) you will see the quarry which is roughly a mile east of Hyndford bridge,i have been up there and found rings on the track adjacent to the quarry.hope this info is of some use to fanciers training in this area J. Alston

  17. how on earth do we expect to get entries for the main races eg gold cup and tours when we have 3 channel races within 8 days ,time to drop one of the inland races and bring ypres forward to early june something has to be done we cant go on like this.

  19. Thanks lads, had the Messac candidates out at this race and they had a good workout one being my timer.
  20. I have always been against inland nationals but iwould probably agree to a one with yearlings only which would not affect the entries in the REAL nationals

  22. only 15 pigeons in Carluke station on Sat. night when i left at around 1130.

First of all i was not the instigator of the decision for South Lanarkshire to purchase the Geraldy transporter that was entirely the decision of the members and i made no recomendations to the members, and yes i question why the velocity's in our Fed are as much as 200 ypm slower than neigbouring Feds but at no time did i say it due to the transporter so you get your facts right.
