  1. Most of the YBs that have scored for me at the YB National have went on to score at the channel I like to send as many as possible every year as i think it is a good race to find them out.
  2. One of the main reasons for this rule is to prevent people taking part in the meeting and voting on proposels and then not joining the club. A rule that is very much needed.
  3. Still say the push for Ypres is to suit Lanarkshire Fed. who dont want to go to 500 miles.
  4. not because of your national interest but for Lanarkshire Feds benifi as they dont want a race from 500 miles this is what is wrong with the National the race programe set up to suit Fedrations and it is destroying the club.
  5. Now your talking back to channel racing only for the National.
  6. To drop Falaise or Cleremont would be a backward step as some of the members would be flying less than 400 miles by replacing it with Ypres, is not because it would suit Lanarkshire Fed.that you want to keep Ypres?.
  7. First six Nationals from Rennes had entries from 176 to 440 birds and in 1920 Dr. Anderson won the race with a entry of only 203 birds and he is one of the most famous names in the history of the SNFC.
  8. You are nit pickin ,the officials notify the ist three in each section before a result comes out so they cant avoid word getting around, they do a good job and dont need critisism like that.
  9. Approx. 500 birds on convoy.
  10. 5 section winners in the first nine open positions Reims ,not much wrong with that we certainly dont get that from weatern racepoints which are usualy dominated by the east.

Yes every bit of it,the only race worth the bother of keeping pigeons the rest are second division events.

    Yes.
  14. yes the same as the North West Fed. transporter one side sits on tracks and can be moved out by a hydraulic ram, i have been to see it and thought it first class and with wicker baskets i would be happy to see the National with something like this
  15. YOU NEED TO ASK THE CONVOYER THAT ONE.
  16. cardboard paper & easybed on the floor of the crates, and the birds are dehydrated from some of the races the birds have access to three drinkers but they only use one for water claiming the other two are needed for feeding. The birds were certainly better condition on return from the races when the transporter was the same as these used by the National at the moment.
  17. Iwould agree to a point regarding the watering i think all transporters should have a corridor wide enough for the convoyer to fill individual basket drinkers and observe the condition of the birds and certainly would not recomend Geraldy units, we have one and it has been very dissapointing as far as i am concerned.
  18. to much money for what he does, certainly not anyway did you make that point when you were on the committee, as for transporters what are the best available?
  19. Money well spent the man does a first class job.
  20. The committee of the snfc did a feasabillity study on getting their own up to date transporter a few years ago and put it to the members at the AGM and it was overwhelmingly rejected by the members with the committee being slated in the BHW for even thinking of getting their own transporter,as for taking baskets out of the transporter at racepoints to help the airflow, Tom McEwan was doing this years ago for which he was praised and rightly so, however the men who do the same thing now dont seem to get any thanks. With regard to M.McMurchies letter in the BHW last week he is talking nonesense my birds go in a Geraldy transporter every week and they come home dehidrated also and Geraldy transporters DONT have air conditioning.
  21. wind should not be a reason to holdover with the exception of very strong winds on the channel where it will affect the state of the sea with high waves and sea apray which will claim many birds.
  22. SNFC liberation doubtfull due to low air tempreture and strong winds , update at 10am.
  23. Just the same design as Catteral transporters and never heard any complaints about them.
  24. how many birds in the nationals the sire & dam won ?.
