  1. The black one looks the part with that background.
  2. I have chipboard boxes in my stock shed and have put 3/4" facing on front edges to prevent the chipboard from breaking when scraped.
  3. Sorry Gareth but i dont remember any disasters recently from the YB National, remember the race is 250-60mls to central Scotland + the 40 or so dogleg into the west not a easy task for a young bird or old bird for that matter on a hard day like yesterday, and some birds are not up to the task for different reasons, state of moult, unfit or unlucky to meet up with bop which we get every week.
  4. Fantastic performance on very hard day, very well done.
  5. Dont know how we get more members to compete but we certainly wont get them with a negative attitude to the race, you should be leading by example and sending more birds and encouraging your Fed to have longer YB races and the birds would be more up to the task.
  6. Or Kirkintilloch and get the first crack at the birds coming in to the west every year.
  7. Aye,7 mls further than the late greats Jock Allan & D.T. Angus.
  8. 2thrds returns and should make result.
  9. More than you.
  10. Not a thing wrong with YB Nat. as it is we have to accept that each region has its own race and changing race points wont make any differance UNLESS we go further 300-350 miles and then it would even things out a bit. I have flown yb nationals into the west for 40 years and it is no differant now (appart from the preditor problem)than it was then.
  11. Fly from wherever you like they will still come out the east, and shorter races are not the answer these boys who lead the field in the nationals were flying from 310 miles a couple of weeks ago, stop making excuses and get on with it.
  12. I am sure there was a good part of the convoy birds that were there for their first race and maybe not had the training required, plus birds which have returned in the stray basket from earlier training and racing which can hinder part of the convoy from leaving the liberation area.
  13. Where were the windmills when Almond Valley liberated?, didnt stop theirs.
  14. Sorry just noticed Newmains 7-30 to 8pm.

Im well aware of that but it has been explained that some birds had been left out by mistake, and i know plenty about the results there is no need to be nasty.

  24. These are the boys who lead the National results, we in the west should take heed instead of stopping youngsters at 100 mls and less.
