  1. Nice looking birds mate
  2. Can't agree with that, it's down to lots of things, and some good birds get lost too. Me personally like t give all birds a fair chance, just like i would hope fellow fanciers would give mine
  3. Like them both but the blue white flight for me
  4. if you looser birds, you have got to exspect to have them reported, Last year i lost about 10 young birds, i bet 8 of them got reported, i had to send for one because it was miles away, The others after been polite and aranging with the finder to help me get them home, they worked there way home, i agree we should be helping each other out, But sometimes people don't help themselves.
  5. Agree with you both, But pigeonpackman is 100% right. If you are willing to breed you should be willing to send for a pigeon if need be, I could have been a none fancier, Then what would he do? i get loads of strays at my loft and i always do my best by them, Weather it be feed them up and then release or just give them a roof for a night. The problem with the man i question is that he denied owning the bird, and he tried his best to say it wasn't his. If i was a none fancier then i would have been made to believe and i'd have been stuck with the bird. The pigeon is now sitting in a spare hut in a nest box where the strays live, I will give her a day or two and then release her, And she hopefully can be returned to the owner.
  6. If that's the case you say that not say its not your bird when the wing stamp clearly states its your bird,
  7. i agree with you padymac, Should have just been honest about it and it wouldn't have been a problem. I would delboy but i just wasn't in the mood to argue with him, it's a shame coz its a lovely mealy hen
  8. tonight had the widowhood cocks out and there was trying to drop on houses (which they don't usually do) and i looked and there was a stray on there which came across and dropped into my loft. Picked it up and it was stamped so i range the man, Who then denied even owning the bird. After a bit of argument with him he said oh it's mine, Do you want it. I told him i didn't want it and he said. 'can you get someone to come this way and chuck it up' Clearly didn't give s damn about his bird.

  10. Thanks for the info people. I think there could have been a mess up with hens laying in the wrong boxes as I have a silver hen in the loft and a silver yb in the nest but its not under the silver hen

  13. Hello every, In my stock loft i have a pair of 2009 blue vandabelles who have been paired together since day one. i have around 7 sons from this pair, And one daughter and all are blue. got two from the pair already parted and they currently have a pair of ybs in the next now ready for ringing, I checked today and it looks like they are going to be pied. What are the chances that they are either throwbacks, Or something else has treded the hen, or something has laid in the wrong box... Puzzled!!
