a mate of mine bred me some summer bred van loons last year hoping to breed some decent ybs from them

GB1997Z so he's 17 this year and fully fertile

i got 80 rings, and currently have about 50 ybs in nest with loads of eggs still to hatch. so i think i might be having 80 bred by me and maybe one or two from breeder buyers

I have on offer, If anyone would like them a few spare birds. pencil stock cock, Staf van reet Un rung but 2008 bred, Lovely looking cock. Blue pied hen, staf van reet 2013 bred and raced by myself and she never put a foot wrong only reason she's on offer now is because i raced her as a cock and now there's no room for her been a hen. Slaty hen, Jansen based 2010 bred but unrung. Mealy pied hen, 2013 bred but has a 2012 ring on as she is a late bred from my number one widowhood cock who's had 4 1st prizes in his 2 years racing. Cheq hen 2013 bred, raced the entire yb season including the chanel where she was 5th club on a really hard day. Blue hen, 2013 bred flew the yb season and never put a foot wrong. all the pigeons are on offer for free, would prefer them all to go together. and they are only on offer due to been well over stocked and they are currently living in the yb section which i will be needing next week due to me starting to park young birds. birds based in sheffield any questions, just ask.

Advice would be get a new one as your not messing with someone elses rubbish try ecco lofts or parkhall lofts

Damp and cold this morning in Sheffield

all my birds are paired and have paired up well this year, i have around 50 young birds in the nest and still waiting on a couple of eggs waiting to hatch. Looking at having a good strong team of young birds again this year

Sheffield, there's been a frost in the night so its cold and icy this morning

Telephone rings for me as its so much easier and in most cases more clear that a stamp

Young bird are coming on well now, Just started ringing them over the last few days. Here is a picture of my white janssen hen with her two young birds.

If I see anything with a ring on I do try and get it home, hopefully people would do the same with mine

I agree ecco can be good, I got my loft in 2010 and it was 100% perfect. End of last season I got another one and had nothing but trouble with. Didn't come on the day agreed, when it came they didn't want to put it up ad it was late, and to top it all the floor was too small so had to use my timber to make it bigger once they had stopped moaning and got it up they left without even a sorry. I've just come from the loft, my drinkers are fine apart from the one in the aviary which was frozen. The young birds are all fine and the parents was just a little hungry
