  1. Well, the yb is back to my loft going to make sure it's 100% healthy before having it back out I will get him flying and trained and see how he goes. If I loose him then I was wrong to give him another chance.
  2. thanks for your opinion, but because a bird dropped somewhere else hardly means it's a duffer it could have been anywhere, And he's come home, where he belongs. if it was that much of a duffer it would have stayed where someone had him in, Or it was that much of a duffer it would be living in some town, or even on some flats, Or lastly it could even be living on some shops. Quite obvious the person who had him in wasn't keen on the idea of it returning home, Otherwise they would have phones, Or contacted me somehow but no, they just took my rings off. also, if they just didn't want to mess with strays, it wouldn't be alive still would it?
  3. not been funny in no kind of way but, i very much doubt it, If that was the case, they could have removed one and then i'd have known or even phoned me and i would have either collected him or sent for him
  4. about two weeks ago i had the young birds out and had trouble dropping them and ended up leaving one out, for it to be nowhere to be seen until tonight when he's dropped looking a picture and feeling perfect. with a few grains of corn inside him. he's the same as when he left, minus his name and address ring and white clip ring. Obvious to me that some fancier has had him in, Either trying to settle him, or having already settled him, training him. Annoying the fact the bird had my number on and i would have quite happily sorted something out with him weather it to be keep the bird, or breed him something from him or his parents. the sire to the yb in question is probs the best bird in my loft.

    Lucky Pigeon!

Yesterday morning i had the cocks out at 6am, Dropped them at 7 and there was 1 missing, I thought it would turn up soon but it never did so i put it down as been hawked or the cat had got him or even he'd hit some trainers and that he would return today.. But he hadn't. been about the loft most of the day not seen him or any remains of him i took the dog out near the allotment at just after 9pm tonight and i saw this blue cock walking about in the grass so knowing we had a shocking race yesterday and theres lots missing i walked over to pick him up, to find out that it was actually my bird who has hit something to knock his wing up. he must have done it yesterday morning and been living under the grass until he could get home! but the lucky thing had me to pick him up and carry him home
