Today whilst messing about putting the w/h hens in the boxes a stock hen got out through the open doors, I've only had her a few months, The bloke who i got her from had her for a while but he bought it a flyer in our fed and luckily she's gone back to his loft.. Happy!

Coming from a new starter thats the biggest problem i have found, Bad sports people, In 2010 i started with a tea of ybs not on darkness, Sent them to the 1st 3 races they cam alright but didn't win the following year i started the old bird season with a team of old birds some 2010 birds what had been raced and some older uns that hadn't by the 3rd race i was down to my 2010 birds 6 in total but i sent the 6 to a race agaist the 'top dog' in our club who sends around 50 per week and my blue cock came to win.. he dropped, was clocked in but my old stb run a bit out not enough to chuck it out but the 'top dog' tried his very very best to have it chucked out and even accused me of cheating. after club members and out sec said the clock was fine and that i had won the race the 'top dog' stormed out of out headquarters. Pigeon racing is a hobby, and people who want to take it so serious shouldn't take part if they are going to show of like babies.

After quite a good breeding season I've end up with 73 ybs out of them all o think I'll be lucky to have 20 hens, so at least 50 cocks! Should be alright for next year xD

Was quite sarcastic, in my opinion. There are a few tips can be given as people have shared them. Getting ets is the answer of course, however only one of the two clubs i fly in allow member to use ets, I have said next season without a doubt i will be using ets in one club, and try and get member of the other club to move forward too.

My cock in question went to the 2nd yb race last year and came early so clocked him in, Pooled him up the week after he came to win the club by miles! ended up stopping out for ages and came in and still took 2nd! week after he was pooled came and messed about, the week after he had a rest and then the week after he came again to win and messed about, ended up been 2nd again! This year we're only on our 3rd race and he's been clocked in all 3 races.. the 1st race he came to win and messed about but just got his 1st prize.. last week he was a bit late (think something pecked him) and then this week he came to be maybe 2nd or 3rd but ended up way down the sheet
