  1. Well done, keep celebrating
  2. I've no doubt you're right John, I always thought when I was racing that I should have been in partnership, Young bird racing was always my big interest as I found old bird racing a bit of a bore
  3. John If you're saying the Red cock was never seen again you must suspect an accident, He obviously was a racer, I had a similar experience in the '80's, again a Red youngster, won 3 times in a row and in the top 10 of Fed. results, was working about 20mls. from home and took the youngsters with me several times a week, Checking the loft on return the Red cock was missing, I never saw him again and didn't expect to, but I don't think he got lost
  4. Welcome back mate
  5. Great pics.

Good George, I hope your youngsters give it a good testing
  7. Happy Birthday
  8. Hi Andy, any true pigeon man would report a youngster with a 'phone ring on, Good racers have made mistakes as youngsters, anyone who thinks otherwise are either new to the game or unsuccessful

Hi Lisa, Thanks for reporting the Irish bird, Could the ring No. be IHU 10 S 0009, This configuration would be more normal for No. on a life ring, Hopefully someone on site will have a ring list for the Irish birds and give you a contact number.
  10. Well done, Thanks for your effort, from the Racing Pigeon fraternity

  18. Good Paul, always nice to know there are fanciers out there that are helpful
  19. Morning Brian, sorry I'm late up today
  20. I think the days of the old fashioned Game-keepers are a big loss to us all, they kept the vermin to an acceptable level, crows, magpies, jays etc. and of course all the BOP , now it has become out of control.
  21. ZZ Top
  22. Well I'm only a tad younger than Walter and a life-time bird watcher and I've never seen an Eagle Owl but many Peregrine's so the odd's look pretty small to me
  23. Out of interest, what's the reasoning in thinking that the lumpy old slow moving Eagle Owl would be a threat to the Peregrine?, probably the fastest bird on Earth
