  1. Yeeehhhhhaaaaaa, We're on the run up to racing. :D
  2. It is Bilco's Pigeon Gas in extract form.
  3. Happy birthday.
  4. Males have a happy face, females are always moaning. :D
  5. Good morning all.
  6. Good info at the time.
  7. Nice, George. Watch out for wee stanes and wet leaves.
  8. Always there and thereabouts on the North Road.
  9. Hope you feel better soon Walter. It took me about six weeks to get it under control, to a point where I could breath OK during the night. I had to get through a few bottles of the water of life. Ally Mac will give you the proper Gaelic, uische bheig, but it sounds so like whisky, I'm sure you get my drift.
  10. Only ever had the occasional YB "under the weather", but not to the extent indicated by others.
  11. Good morning all.
  12. Thanks Stuart, I had a nosebleed after Peterborough 2 and stopped. Hope to go further this year / season.
  13. SNRPC 13.02.16, SNFC 10.01.15, so presumably around the same date 2016.
  14. I'm the shortest flier in the Fed. Fraserburgh is 165 miles. Untrained and unraced latebreds. season 2014 10 latebreds out of Portlethen 130 miles. season 2015 10 latebreds out of Fraserburgh, the other 2 out of Portlethen.
  15. SNRPC and SNFC have not held their AGM's yet Frank.
  16. Last year, if I'm correct, it would have been:- 4.06.16 Peterborough 11.06.16 Otterburn 18.06.16 Billericay National 24.06.16 Reims National 1.07.16 Longest National 15.07.16 Arras National
  17. Same number as last year John. From early June the Executive organise the rest of the programme to suit the Nationals, Otterburn for the comebacks.
  18. Later bred YB's are still some to go, but the older ones are through or just about. Last year my "yearling" late-breds managed to finish the programme to Fraserburgh 27th June, but for two that dropped 3 flights during the same week, 20th to 27th. I sometimes have late-breds with 3 to 5 old flights when racing.
  19. Glasgow Federation held their AGM today. The Race Programme is:- 16.04.16 Dunbar 23.04.16 Dunbar 30.04.16 Otterburn 7.05.16 Aycliffe 14.05.16 Wetherby 21.05.16 Newark / Retford (if Executive are able to organise with Combine) 28.05.16 Peterborough / Melton Mowbray (if Executive are able to organise with Combine) 4.06.16 Executive to organise (last year Peterborough) Otterburn for comebacks and SNRPC for Nationals. 30.07.16 Dunbar YB 6.08.16 Dunbar YB 13.08.16 St Boswells YB 20.08.16 Otterburn YB 27.08.16 Otterburn YB 3.09.16 Aycliffe YB
  20. Good morning all.
  21. Well done all.
  22. That's the problem with the typed word. It can be taken the wrong way and sometimes when taken the correct way it allows wriggle room. Either way hopefully Robert has wound it up for all and sundry. As Derek says, very few fanciers will not suffer YBS since it is a broad spectrum name for many symptoms and very few lofts will go through a season without at least one YB being "under the weather" and thus the loft is suffering from YBS, although perhaps not the virulent strain we all despise.
  23. I remember reading that YBS was just a name. There is no such illness as YBS. It is then alluded to Circovirus being the primary cause and several other secondary infections entering due to the reduced immunity from fighting the primary problem. The illness we term YBS is therefore a combination of problems, ranging from very minor and extending to death, dependent of the combination encountered by the fancier. These combinations are many and varied and that is the main reason why no two fanciers are able to agree what they have or don't have and why vets are unable to remedy with a cure or provide a preventative. Some of what Roly says is alluded to being correct since stress, in any form, weakens the YB's resilience and renders them susceptible to attack from viruses and bacterial infections.
