Camaron said a few weeks back, which is a laugh, but will bear merit when it is realised saying 'Even if we vote to leave, there is no leg etc. nothing in place to enable us to leave. Which means 10 years down the line we will be having another vote eh!
  3. Was in 1989 - if memory is correct, that Bilco Organised the 1000 mile race from Rome. Best bird home was a Busseart. 17 in allotted time, and many in later stages. ( of course many made it and Bilco said he'd never organise another. A club mate was one of the 17. Was a real hot days too.
  4. John,. don't try and gather some intelligence from some where ... you are on the level you will always be at ... so wipe that brown stuff off from around your speak hole and try and grow up, .... MENTALLY that is. Like I say, if you are a boon to ignorance try and not let it show. Psst, the harder you try to be clever, the more foolish you show yourselves to be.

Ian, since Lady whatever her name was that escapes me at the mo, asked in 1955 for there to be a protection regards the BOP to help them establish themselves a mite after the war years, has this ever been amended? Have there been new registration to make it legally binding. I- we, most automatically think it must be, but ....
  6. There you go again John ... I think it's time you were told why there is no daylight where you have got your head stuck! Like I stated before, you have little to no common sense, and can't see no further than your nose ... Of course you can't where it is stuck and pointing lol ... By the way that isn't the smell of roses clogging up your nose lol Take our words for it :egyptian:
  7. Nothing about manning up is needed on the West side flyers, that's for sure. Those in the West HAVE manned up for over a hundred years. Have propped up the coffers of the more fortunate in the East side. Even when they have contrived, and succeeded in even taking any merit away from the sections ... to bolster their coffers. If manning up is to be done, surely it is by those in the East side via admitting their good fortune and give merit where due instead of harping on flaky and silly no sensible arguments that hold no water and only pour scorn on themselves. THEN it become detrimental to the sport and those on the West side. So MAN up on the East side!
  8. I was stating the fact that only those living in the East spout that Wind, location etc. makes no difference. PLUS that they don't REALLY believe it themselves. Of course they know better! Had 5 names on the East in prime spots. All National winners in the East Coast Club .... They moan and whinge and swap to new sites and THAT is a never ending story. All sale culls too from the 'Name' that the location has achieved for them.
  9. All three in their' nut shells. Only those in the East side say 'Them three don't matter .... while the rest laugh at them saying it! Indeed even those in the East side don't believe it doesn't matter. lol. :emoticon-0136-giggle:
  10. George Gorley? eh! George Bauesart set the Kent fed alight in the 50's.? !
  11. Well as I look, year in and year out just where in the main stay the winners come from I have to ask my self why is it domination overall, often great, by the Eastern placed lofts? Is it - in the main - all the best and great fanciers are born there? Further I am yet to see those able to move location move to the Western side of Clubs / Feds and Nationals.... Maybe it is in the water. Get the maps out and look at the national places. The Great North Rd was ruined when it became the NRCC ETC. Now, rightly, referred to as the East Coast Club. They have consistently lined their' own nest by treating those in the Middle and west side as no more than fodder to boost their' own coffers. Even distorting any merit in sections... mostly flying to lofts well East of them. Louth dominate downwards to the East coast. Lucky all the great fanciers were born there or bought their patch. Fancier, and there are many house hold names that struggle to fly a kite till moving there. Up Newcastle way the same... Yep must be the water that they drink that mays them so successful. One hear that wind and location count for nothing .... MOSTLY by those living in the East side lol.
  12. Trapped over night. Large wire cages are very effective. Did you get a chance to look inside? Could be a sight to hurt the eyes.
  13. Great, congratulations. Enjoy mate. Best wishes to all concerned.
  14. Think that they have to Walter per Union rules. Maybe not so in Scotland, I don't know. The problem stems back to 'Can - just - afford to keep them, but not to lose them. A very sad truth in this day and age. Would never ask for bird to be disposed of unless they offer first but on other side I have 10 missing and if they were all reported in different areas it would cost £400 to get them back. Well said. Exactly! That is why the Unions can't enforce the rulings. Another 30% or more would leave. Sending it up the road for a single lib in that direction via some one may help ... or give another fancier the hassle.
  15. Before letting out they must not be too hungry, or they won't leave the loft for long waiting for their feed. Neither should they be over fed and lazy. But why does one want to see their pigeons zooming about tearing up the skies? Better, surely, that energy would be put to better use on race days!
  16. Every season we hear the same. Any body and every body is then to blame bar them selves... for sending. When will the fancier vote in for a later start to the season, and later season? Some time never it seems apparently. We all know 'When the wind has East it is no good for man or beast. We all know every year, sadly, fanciers are breeding more to counteract losses.... Plus can't breed any earlier. We all know that a couple of weeks in September for the distance is proven better racing for y/b's. We, here about, have prove July for the Lerwick race. Proven far better than the June 21st. Yet still they send because it is the longest day! Need one go on? All frightened some else will steal a March. Gosh how many great racing Indian summers are lost! Yet come seasons end, at club and Fed meetings any and every excuse is put up ... bar the realities. Real hot here today - had a short debate with myself regards a short training toss .... But they are in a really cool loft. Do I think sending them up the road in this heat WITH a - AS DAL12 says - in a drying out East wind. Does one believe that they will learn much from it? Do them any good? I think they will be better off - personally having a fly about 7 tonight around the loft in a cooler climate personally... Yep be the same excuses year after year... and nothing will change.!
  17. I don't think many are surprised... Khan has talent and bottle. But a glass chin and ego that won't admit to common sense. - Trainers have tried, pleading with him to stop listening to mates up the pub. To box and forget the 'Fighting' because of this. But he earned his money last night again. I admire him, but just wish he would stay away from punchers and own weight. Many greats have had a glass chin, never processes a knock out punch etc. but covered the weaknesses and manifested their' talents. Yes even mixing and beating tough resilient punchers!
  18. Not necessarily been in any where mate... if in great condition mostly likely it hasn't.
  19. Haven't one. Think it is, and would be, a bit to complex for me. A little knowledge is dangerous as they say. Could therefore and easily do more harm than good, in my opinion only. I feel that when I see vets showing signs and photos etc. and how they even often get it wrong, then what chance have I! Cocci is easily remedied. E. Coli easily prevented - takes 24 hours in the damp to start it of. Canker have very many strains and a little is needed and is actually good for the pigeon as it will stop any other strain being active. J.M.O beliefs granted. If loft is dry birds able to have fresh air, it may be ONLY airborne ailments that one has to worry about ... or race panniers! If it isn't any of the above, or one that you aren't sure of... pay the vet a visit. Having spouted all that I also believe that many can, and do put testing themselves to good use and are more than capable ... Me? I have a job recognising the choc ice to a strawberry one lol.
  20. Well done mate.
  21. Had it explained by a world renown Vet that if LIVE then would be dead by time you bought it. If dead then of course no good. Mind I think that it might have other benefits not related to why one buys it. Who knows.
  22. Had one... a stated earlier, where the birds struggled to sit on top ... Just enough room lol. Problem was when a few days old one slipped down and off... Died from old and starvation. They just didn't see it on floor at the side. Unless it was kicked out. Nest mate fine and dandy.
  23. 150 South About the same North.
  24. our 1st race on Saturday,kelso,63 to us,if this north-east wind is blowing ,we,ll have no loses, cos they won,t be there, u are your own controller,8 deg here today, far to cold. Spot on reality there greenbar. Most know exactly what you are saying to be true .... But many will send - even yearlings - then Blame 'Race Controllers' etc. Any one bar themselves. Have had some sunny bouts here about ... mine only getting loft fit and mentally sound... 1st race will be in May. Many a good bird lost or ruined for the season sending in east winds.... Averages! If I sent for them, it would only be a couple of old well experienced birds ... which would hate it too.
